Strengths:    Ability to ride up to 32mm tires. Light weight for essentially a touring Geometry.

Weaknesses:    Frame is a little whippy on fast descents

Bottom Line:
Like the long reach breaks in combination with the carbon stays and fork. Great for hilly fire trails and rough mountain roads.

Strengths:    generally has a good feel not as stiff as other aluminum bikes I had rode. Rear drops are carbon and it does dampen the bike a bit.

Weaknesses:    compact frame, I am used to a straight top tube. front fork I found to be a little long bike feels a little off when climbing.

Bottom Line:
disregard the dumb ass with the bogus review. bought the redline from Nasbar on sale for 399.00 and took some older parts from another bike and put the bike together. Newer bike older parts did not work as well as I planned. Wound up spending a little more than I had budgeted for. I mainly am going to use it for a commuting bike. If I add the total cost it comes out to an entry level road bike with some better parts. I should have purchased an entry level complete road bike from excel sports or from a LBS for something similar to the price I spent on the bike. Not that the bike is bad I had a lot of older parts to put to good use. If I crash on it and it gets messed up I wont be as pissed.

Strengths:    Carbon rear-end, carbon post and carbon forks, top off the design and provides a great ride. The geometry is spot-on. Not too quick, but not boggish one bit. It's like those all-time classic road bikes. Nothing over the top, but no corners were cut either. A good solid bike.

Weaknesses:    I could only nit-pick 2 things: First off, I think the stock saddle sucks. I switched it over to a WTB, from all teh money I saved buying this bike. And although I dig the color; what they call "Daytona Orange" - I wish they had more of a color selection. It only comes in one color, and I think cyclists would like more choices. The Daytona Orange though, looks a lot like the color of the Dodge Daytona trucks and cars; which is cool.

Bottom Line:
As a cyclist who got hooked on 2-wheels at age 13, and whose biggest cycling passion has been BMX racing, I am obviously a big fan of Redline bikes. From the first time I saw my friends' 1975 Redline Squareback, in my mind Redline has always been THEE ultimate bike to have. I am sure many cyclocross riders would say the same. So when I saw an ad in ROAD magazine for their new carbon-rear, 6061 alloy R-760 complete bike, I had to get me one. And in typical Redline fashion - the $1200 & change pricetag made it an easy purchase. Since the mid-80's, Redline has been well known for having affordable bikes - but with great spec. When you buy a Redline, it seems that you get more bike for your money. I don't know how they have done it all these years. Although I haven't put more than 150 miles on the bike throughout my budy summer, the time I did spend on it lived up to the Redline reputation that I have grown up on. and just as I have done with their BMX bikes, I would recommend their new ROAD line of bikes to anyone who is looking for a great bike with a great price.

Similar Products Used:   They sell this similar frame as a set, called the R-77; only those framesets are made of lighter U-6 alloy tubing. Would be cool to see one of those built up with DuraAce.
