Bike Setup: 54CM, Specialized Avatar body gel seat. Specialized Carbon fiber bars with Bontrager race-X lite stem. Campy Centaur 10 speed with a Triple in front. Campy Centaur brakes, Ksyrium Elite wheels, Michelin Pro Race tires. Look pedals /Time pedals ( I switch around) I like the Times better but the Looks are Red. Bike is Black with Red accents.
Summary: I have had my Scott CR1 and I love it. My previous bike was a DeRosa Nuvo classic. It was a TSX bike with full Campy record. So the change to carbon fiber was very different. Unlike most Scott CR1 mine is Campangolo Centaur. I'd love to have Chorus or Record but I wanted a triple and That was not available. Besides I couldn't afford it. The New Dura ace has the cables out of the way like Campy. I like the way Dura Ace shifted but my hands are small and the Campy felt better. So I got a Campy Centaur triple so I could climb. I weigh 215 now but I am on my way back to my goal weight of 175. That should lighten up the bike some. My De Rosa was a lot heavier 20 lbs with sew ups and 22 lbs. most of the time. My Scott was 17 lbs with pedals. The new model and at the time the yellow CR1 was 880 grams for the frame at the time. Mine is 1090. I'm The bike climbs great. It has great stiffness in the bottom bracket. I changed the handle bars to Carbon set by Specialized. It made a huge difference in that I get a smother ride. I'll be changing the seat post. I also changed the seat to a seat that was measured for me at the Specialized store. I have the Ksyrium Elite wheels. I'm no racer but I ride out in The Palm Desert area and it gets really hot. So having a bike that is an easy fast ride is a must. The CR1 is a wonderful bike.
Strengths: Light weight, stiff without being harsh. Smooth ride.
Weaknesses: The rider. LOL.

Summary: I have owned and ridden many bikes in my life. The Scott CR1 ranks alongside the best, including my Willi Moore, which was hand built for me. The gears [Shimano Ultegra] are faultless. The ride is stiff and so easy to manipulate. Hill climbing is this beasts forté! I have done many faultless miles on my Scott. This one is a keeper for sure!
Strengths: Climbing and long distance.
Weaknesses: I changed the large ring to a 50,but apart from that, none.

Bike Setup: Straight out of the store. Stock Everything! Sidi SPD clippless.
Summary: This review is for a 2008 Scott Team CR1. Wow, Wow, & Wow. This bike is insane! Forget the Red Bull. This bike gives you wings. Very stiff bottom brackets, allow you transfer power straight to the bike, and gives you that "shot out of a cannon feel". It's important to note that I'm a VERY serious rec rider. I put just under 100 miles on it my first week of ownship. With the exeption of the stock saddle, this is a GREAT ride. I'd challenge anyone to beat this bike for its price
Strengths: Stiff bottom brackets, cornering, and ease of climbing = rocketship!
Weaknesses: stock saddle

Summary: I got this bike by mail, so, no warranty from brazilians sellers. Just trusted the Scott brand, and so far so good. It´s a very competitive frame, perfect for racing and very stiff for sprinting and criteruim races. I hit some holes in the road, twice and it was a very hard hit on the whels and frame, but nothing hapenned... lol.
The Aksyum Whels set is a litle heavy for climbing, but just if the use is for racing, if not, it´s perfect for training.
Strengths: Stiff frame, light to receive some upgrades and goes under the 7Kg. Very trustable.
Weaknesses: Non-replaceable derailleur hangar.

Bike Setup: Stock with Ultegra 6600 and Mavic Equipe wheels.
Summary: Big difference compared to Steel frame/CF fork. Perfect handling. Smart light.
Strengths: Stiff enough for a heavy rider, without losing comfort.
Weaknesses: Rear deraileur hanger is not replaceable. Rear Mavic rim developped cracks arround the spoke holes (I am 230 lbs) after 3000 miles - still true and rideable.
