Bike Setup: Complete Ultegra Group Set
Sigma Computer
105 Shimano SPD Pedals
Summary: 2009 Allez Triple
I got this bike for my start into triathlons. This bike has been AWESOME. I replaced the stock Sora/Tiagra stuff with Ultegra and now this bike is a sweet sweet machine. I really enjoy riding the bike and can't wait to log some more miles and memories on it.
Strengths: Price, Frame, good looks. I can ride this bike comfortably for a long time.
Weaknesses: The stock shifters and derailleurs are slow and erratic. But for the price of the bike its not a complaint. If I were to change one thing, it would be the brake pads. The stock ones are useless.

Bike Setup: Lower end components. The thumb shifter cannot be accessed from the drop position.
Summary: 2010 Allez Sport Triple. Sora & Tiagra
Brand new, Now with 100 miles on it.
I read on here that I should stay away from the lower end components. For the price this bike is great.
Just finished a sprint triathlon and this bike rocks! I had a 12 year old top of the line S-works and this compares. Not as light, components not as nice, but overall a better buy. For the price you cannot beat it. Mounts for a rear rack, I can commute all week, ride a century or tri on the weekend. I looked at a more expensive bike but this will do. If you are a serious rider it is not for you but great entry level bike.
Summary: Bought this bike last week and it is a dream. It came down to this bike and a Trek 1.2. After riding both the Specialized really blew the Trek away. A much better ride one compared to the other. Plus the Specialized was better equiped for the same price.
Strengths: Great bike for the price. Light weight compared to my old bike.
Weaknesses: The brakes are a little soft, but once you get use to them they are fine. Really for the price, I have no complaints.

Bike Setup: Stock frame and forks, Xero wheels (used Tarmac wheels), Maxxis re-fuse tires (no flats), Sram Red compact crank, Dura-Ace pedals, and 105 Drive train.
Summary: This is my second road bike and I still enjoy ridding it after 3 years! I tested a lot of bikes before I bought the Allez and thought this was the best bang for my buck. I was right.
The Allez is a great bike! It looks good, handles well, and is a great value for the price.
After three years it is time for an upgrade. After 40 miles I get tired in the saddle, my hands are numb, and shoulders and neck are tired. Don't know if it is me or if higher-end models will help this. We'll see in a couple months.
Strengths: Light- after changing wheels, crank, and pedals
Value
Weaknesses: Crank is junk- broke the crank arm after 1500 miles

Bike Setup: I have added Roubaix handlebars, and keep a set of Mavic Kysrium Elites handy for racing, but still use the stock Alex Rims for day to day training.
Summary: I ilke my Allez Triple, I have about 5000 miles in two years and it is holding up well (WITH PROPER MAINTENANCE).
I have enjoyed every minute on the bike, only reason to swap would be for more speed (read lighter). But this would still be my daily rider.
Strengths: Im a big guy - 6'3" - 225" and the aluminum frame and stock components keep on ticking away the miles.
Weaknesses: Aluminum is stiff, you feel every bump, thats why I switched to the Roubaix handlebars.
