Product Description

The Specialized FACT carbon monocoque fork is full carbon—legs, crown, steerer—and features an oversized lower bearing race for precision and strength; Zertz inserts soak up the chatter. The4-position-adjustable Specialized Comp-Set stem easily matches your comfort and speed needs. The compact Roubaix Elite C2 uses FACT 7r carbon in a more-upright-positioned race design; the vibration-absorbing Zertz inserts add an additional layer of comfort. The Specialized Pro handlebars feature a short drop and ergonomic shape for all-day comfort. The Shimano 105 10-speed STI brake/shift levers give crisp shifts and effortless braking.

Strengths:    Upgraded from a Trek 1000. I have put a little over 500 miles on this bike and all I can say is I LOVE this bike. Very stiff BB, Very comfortable ride. Comes with complete Shimano 105. Very responsive handing, and best of all I can push for long periods of time and feel that I have put in no effort at all. I often look down at my computer and am surprised at how fast I am going with such little effort. With my old bike, I would usually be dead at the end of the ride. Not true with the Rouibaix Elite. It is designed to put in a long day of riding

Weaknesses:    Saddle takes some time to get used to, but once you find the right place to sit, it is quite comfortable. Tires--if you live in a place with a lot of pot holes and debris in the road, then replace with a pair that has a high TPI. I have Gatorskins on my other bike, and after dealing with three flats on one ride (I generally get no more than 3 flats in a year), I quickly put them on the Roubaix.

Bottom Line:
Great bike for long rides.

Strengths:    Company that stands behind there product, complete 105 kit, trickle down tech from last years s works

Weaknesses:    Price could be better

Bottom Line:
Been on a Tarmac sl2 for three years and back was starting to suffer so decided I need a softer ride that could still sprint without being a wet noodle,,, well this bike is defiantly it. Same frame lay up as 2010 swords roubaix and the trickledown tech from the 09 swords also. Wheels set that it some with is highly under rated . I run 290 lbs and the wheels didn't even sweat me there more comparable to kyserium equipes. Overall the bike does what it suppose too ,,, it's a couch that can become a missile when u need it.

Strengths:    Stiff, fast, responsive and smooth. Love this bike for triathlons. Used to be a Cat 2 racer but life & family got in the way--thank God. Returned to the road and loved this ride. As a guy well past prime but still pushing the edge, this bike brought me to an entire new level of performance. Would buy it again without hesitation!

Weaknesses:    None really. More more me than the bike.

Bottom Line:
Buy it.

Strengths:    Excellent ride Quality - can keep going and going. Compact frame set - exposes a lot of the seat post which flexes quite a bit - smoothing your ride out even more!

Weaknesses:    I could comment on the components and wheel set - but you can change all that to your liking.

Bottom Line:
This is actually a 2009 model. First of all - I am a cat 2 road race and 37 years of age. I needed a good rain / train bike that I could put in some long hours on without feeling the pains of a hi - performing road race bike. I changed out the wheelset for a bit better model as well as the seat post, stem, and saddle. Hands down, the best everyday club, century, hi mileage, and occasional fast pace group riding bike IMO. I would buy another one just like it if I had to. Not really vertically compliant, but rides really smooth. It has a long wheelbase which attributes to this. Fairly slow steering making it very stable on fast descents. The frameset and fork are AWESOME! Not a road race bike - but a great training bike for a serious road racer!

Favorite Ride:   A bumpy one on this bike!

Price Paid:    $1800.00

Purchased At:   Precision Bikes

Similar Products Used:   Litespeed Ultimate - I only referenced this bike because of the relationship between titanium and the "perceived" plush ride that it gives. Other than that I have ridden no similar bikes!

Strengths:    Nice build, rides like a dream. Great geometry for the over 30 rider

Weaknesses:    not a super lightweight. Wish it had Dura Ace.

Bottom Line:
2010 Roubaix Elite, with 105 components. Great bike. Amazed almost every ride. Very comfortable, very fast. No twitchy handling or sore wrists, elbows, shoulders at the end of a 25 mile ride

Roubaix Elite Apex Compact Weight vs Cannodale Synapse

I'm looking for a budget endurance bike. Does anyone know the weight of the 58 Roubaix Elite Apex Compact? I'm also looking at the Synapse Carbon 4 Rival. Any thoughts? I'm 48 and doing group rides and centuries, (second year cycling, in medium shape). I'm a SRAM fan. I need options.Read More »

Roubaix Elite Rival Compact

Got one for my wife last week, I read good things about the double tap and I also thought that the 32 rear gear will make it easier on her uphill. All seems good, but the Front derailleur doesn't shift to the large chain wheel. Back to the LBS tomorrow... Anyone else has similar issues ?Read More »
