Strengths: Excellent ride Quality - can keep going and going. Compact frame set - exposes a lot of the seat post which flexes quite a bit - smoothing your ride out even more!Weaknesses: I could comment on the components and wheel set - but you can change all that to your liking.Bottom Line: This is actually a 2009 model. First of all - I am a cat 2 road race and 37 years of age. I needed a good rain / train bike that I could put in some long hours on without feeling the pains of a hi - performing road race bike. I changed out the wheelset for a bit better model as well as the seat post, stem, and saddle. Hands down, the best everyday club, century, hi mileage, and occasional fast pace group riding bike IMO. I would buy another one just like it if I had to. Not really vertically compliant, but rides really smooth. It has a long wheelbase which attributes to this. Fairly slow steering making it very stable on fast descents. The frameset and fork are AWESOME! Not a road race bike - but a great training bike for a serious road racer!
Favorite Ride: A bumpy one on this bike!

Similar Products Used: Litespeed Ultimate - I only referenced this bike because of the relationship between titanium and the "perceived" plush ride that it gives. Other than that I have ridden no similar bikes!

Strengths: Nice build, rides like a dream. Great geometry for the over 30 riderWeaknesses: not a super lightweight. Wish it had Dura Ace.Bottom Line: 2010 Roubaix Elite, with 105 components. Great bike. Amazed almost every ride. Very comfortable, very fast. No twitchy handling or sore wrists, elbows, shoulders at the end of a 25 mile ride

Strengths: Comfortable carbon frame and seat, slick 105 drive train, reliable.Weaknesses: OEM tires pick up road debris, especially when wet.Bottom Line: This '08 Elite carbon model (triple) was purchased as a discounted leftover model in spring '09 to replace an eight year old, low end Allez, which met my needs at the time and was inexpensive. However no matter how I adjusted bars, seat etc. I was experiencing continuing neck pain during longer rides on the Allez. The Roubaix, with its more upright positioning cured the neck problem (I'm 70 years old)and has turned out to be by far the best bike I've ever owned. Smooth ride, fast, comfortable, what's not to like? While not a racer, it has also been dead reliable. No adjustments or component problems of any kind have arisen in close to 5k miles of spirited riding. Recently changed out the odd 23/25c OEM tires for much narrower 23c Conti Ultra Gatorskins with no loss of ride quality or comfort. Faster too, as one would expect and the Conti's don't pick up and spit out tiny pebbles and road debris like the originals. Highly recommended for those who want to maintain a fast pace without resorting to rehab.

Strengths: This bike is good for the long haul at moderate to moderately high paces. It's not designed to race and it will never feel as fast as a Tarmac or anything comparable. This is one comfortable ride that leaves you feel like you're gliding. And, yes, the saddle is very nice.Weaknesses: It can be upright if left stock. Not being a race bike, it lacks a "zippy" feel and doesn't have a crisp acceleration.Bottom Line: After years of riding and loving aluminum, I was given the opportunity to splurge. I bought the 2010 Roubaix and swapped the Mavic wheelset for Bontrager's. I also nixed the carbon seatpost for a Bontrager. I don't see how the first reviewer can state that there's too much flex in the frame. I'm a true Clyde at 280lbs and this bike remains stiff even when I hammer. It rides like butter and soaks up the road (any road) I take. If you leave the bike stock, it will be pretty upright. I cut the fork and made it a zero-stack as well as flipped the stem. This gives it a nice neutral position.

Strengths: Geometry. Very up right position. Easy transition from the hoods to the drops.
I loved the factory seat!Weaknesses: Frame was way to flexy for me. The BB sounded like a wet sneaker.
Cheap components (Crank, brakes ...to keep the price down).
I will never buy another Specialized bike. Ever! The make a mean seat bag ... that's all they are good for.Bottom Line: This is one comfy ride. To comfy. Was crisp enough until you got on rough road surfaces. Then it felt like rubber, real springy and weird. The BB sounded like a wet sneaker. The shop I boght it from was clueless and had no fix, they are more of a ski shop. Selling bikes carries them from winter to winter.
For the money this is an OK bike. Just OK. I felt I could have done better for the same money shopping around and buying used.
Favorite Ride: Central PA rollers.
