Specialized S-Works Venge Frameset Road Bike

Product Description

Back when the S-Works Venge was just a twinkle in Specialized's eye, it won one of the most prestigious races in cycling: Milan-San Remo. And now you can own the same WorldTour-level speed! Its FACT 11r-carbon frame was tuned and tweaked in the wind tunnel for maximum aerodynamic advantage. Its blade-like tapered fork meshes seamlessly with the massive aero down tube, which in turn works with the rear wheel cutout and assymmetrical, airfoil-shaped seatstays to minimize drag to the nth degree. If that wasn't enough, the Venge utilizes a supremely aerodynamic seatpost that boasts a reversible head so you can dial in the setback and find the perfect position.

Strengths:    Stiff, aero, dampens road vibration, light, looks awesome

Weaknesses:    Tight clearance for rear wheel if running new wider rims, no rubbing though, all good even with new wide 303 Firecrest. Can crank hard up a steep hill, 1000 watts and 165 but no rubbing.

Bottom Line:
Built it out with DA and Firecrest 303s. Crazy how stiff it is, all power to the road, way better than my Cervelo carbon Soloist i bought just 6 years ago. Rode them back to back / head to head over same course. Very noticeable improvement in power transfer and soaking up bumps. Lastly, looks like a million bucks, went with the dark red, white and black paint scheme - turns heads.

Strengths:    Stiff and FAAAAST!!!

Weaknesses:    None!

Bottom Line:
Worth every penny (got 27% off). Best bike I ever ridden. Anyone and everyone will be faster on this frame compared to any road frame! Stiff and yet reasonably comfortable. Built mine with all new 2012 SRAM Red, Zipp 808 Firecrest and S-Works stem, handlebar and saddle.
