    Model Year:
    2007

    Favorite Ride:
    mountains

    Bike Setup:
Full campy record, fulcrum racing 0 wheels.

    Summary:
Time Edge racer, Campy record 10's

    Strengths:
Amazing ride, great climber and super stable on the way back down. Built this bike up with record, can be had cheaper with ultegra. The luged construction is awsome, makes the bike feel alive. Brought this as a up grade from an old trek. This bike beats the trek hands down in feel and performance. Time even weaves there own carbon, take one for a ride and you will be amazed at there quality and performance. Amazing ride at amazing price.

    Weaknesses:
    none

Price Paid:  $3800.00 at King's Bicycle

    Model Year:
    2007

    Favorite Ride:
    Palos Verdes

    Bike Setup:
Time Saddle, Seat post, fork, headset, and stem.
    Richey handle bar
Dura Ace STI shifters and FR/DR, FSA crank and brakes(these rock by the way), Ultegra rear cassette and chain. Mavic Ksyrium ES wheels and Continental 4000 GP tires.

    Summary:
At the time I bought the Edge Racer, I was actually looking for a different bike. But I test road the bike anyway. It was lust at first ride. This bike is smooth and relaxing. It isn't the fastest or the lightest, but it is smooth and great for extemely long rides. The bottom bracket will flex a little under hard acceleration, but it is fine for hill climbing and pace lines. If you consider what this bike is, a trainer or touring bike, then the ratings make sense. If you try to compare this bike to a full raced bike, then the ratings would be low. I got this bike for touring and training, so I give it high marks. This bike is a bit pricey, but it's a Time and it feels like a Time.

    Strengths:
Smooth ride. Since it came with a compact crank, it really helped me with my hill climbing training. Thanks to this bike, I got much stronger in climbing and on a full race bike, I am even faster. Great for new hill climbers wanting to learn how to climb hills. Comes with Dura Ace.

    Weaknesses:
    It's not a race bike.
Bottom bracket and top tube will flex excessively with stronger or larger riders (I'm 5'6" about 145 and I flex it). Still a bit pricey for a beginner bike/trainer

    Price Paid:  $1000.00 at Ebay

    Model Year:
    2007

    Favorite Ride:
    Time Edge Racer

    Bike Setup:
    Mavic Aksium
    Shimano 105 10 speed
    Aluminum stem, handlebars, seatpost

    Summary:
I got the frame off of ebay new and transferred the groupset from my Giant OCR with 105. This is my first carbon bike and I aspire to enter some local races. I'm 150lbs, 5'8 and ride about 100 mi/week. My old bike was a medium giant with 55 cm virtual top tube, and the edge racer is a Small with 54 virtual top tube. I am very happy with the purchase and don't regret a thing. The bike looks great built up, but more importantly has an excellent comfortable ride with aggressive geometry (for me at least). The carbon takes away the road buzz and is definitely stiff enough for me. It fits the role it was designed for perfectly (entry level carbon road racer/performance enthousiast). The steering is very precise and it handles well with great stability.

    Strengths:
    Geometry
    Stiffness - shock absorbing balance
Weight compared to my old aluminum frame
    Paint
    Precise steering

    Weaknesses:
Weight, compared to the lightest of carbon
    frames.
