Strengths:    Can get a smaller model for short people. Can even put smaller circumference tires on it. Lightweight, climbs hills nicely.

Bottom Line:
Trek 5000 WSD 47cm for shorter riders. I am 5'1" and getting a good fitting bike was difficult. I got the smaller circumference tires and am very pleased. I live in a hilly area and this bike climbs with ease. Holds well on gravel roads too. Lightweight, easy to handle, and sharp looking. Very fast on pavement.

Strengths:    Oh my god. After advocating nothing but steel for years, I can finally see how outdated my thinking has been. I seriously thought they had re paved my favorite downhill because the frame and fork ate up every bump in the road.

Weaknesses:    Front end felt a little floaty on steep, fast descent. Overall weight of the bike is a bit heavy.

Bottom Line:
Purchased used after a long hard search for a used, mint, carbon fiber, ultegra equipped road bike. Narrowed down choice to a trek or the giant ocr carbon.

Strengths:    Light frame. Good geometry for typical female- long leg, short torso. Reasonably good gruppo.

Weaknesses:    Came with a triple, and jumped rings! Even after tune ups, basically was only happy working in 2 of the 3 rings.
Pretty heavy wheelset.

Bottom Line:
This is a great bike for someone just looking toward getting serious into riding. With a shorter top tube, it fit me better than other options, and the carbon frame gave a nice ride!
Decent components (mostly ultegra) work well and true. I rode this bike from my first cat 4 race, and loved how it handled, especially in crit riding!
