Strengths: Shifters and Rear Der.(dura ace on mine then they changed it to all ultegra 10 spd). Selle San Marcos saddle was VERY comfortable.
Weaknesses: 9spd(but they changed that to 10spd). Seatpost was 140mm long so i had to get something longer.
Bottom Line:
2006 Bike. Great, fast, loved it! ZR9000 Aluminum frame was light and strong, very happy with the bontrager crankset and the saddle. Did Ironman Florida 70.3 and averaged 20.0 mph in my first ever half ironman, at 19 years of age and I had never averaged that fast on a course half that distance.
The older Trek equinox' before 2005 were a piece of crap. Anybody have an '05 or '06. What do you think. Is it a better bike than the Cervelo p2k.
