Strengths: Lotta bike for the buck
Smooth comfortable rideWeaknesses: You will need some mech ability to assemble.
You will need some bike experience to make adjustments, or got to a good LBS.
You should really have the bike fitted professionally. No off the shelf bike will fit everyone right.
Seat tube looks pretty, but is really just aluminum with a carbon wrap.Bottom Line: Got the 2009 Immortal Pro in Yellow after much shopping around. Have a '91 Specialized Epic Carbon Frame Road bike and an '89 Trek 1200. Almost went with a Windsor Falkirk but finally jumped to the I-Pro based on opinions, experience between the ALU Trek and Carb Spec. Like the smooth carbon ride.
Bike came 4 days after ordering.Box was undamaged. Unpacking and assembly took about 45 min. Quite simple, exp with the online videos. Have a fair amount mechanical ability and some bike experience. Also used several vids on the web on various adjustments to be sure. Was able to pull the wheels into true no problem. Needed to adj the front and rear brakes and the front derailer. That took about 2 hrs. Pumped up the tires and went 10 sweet miles. Spent $100 to get the bike fitted. Tech said bike was very close, and a good fit (56 cm, I'm 6ft) Needed to change out the stem (too long) and put on the set back seat tube from my Specialized to get the right seat position. The 0 setback stock FSA tube didn't allow enought adjustment. Ordered a nice carbon tube from Nashbar. Immediately changed out the Cane Creek pads for some Shimano DuraAce pads I had. Big difference. Stock Skye seat is very comfortable. Will leave it. The finish on the bike is superb. The BD bikes don't have fancy multi color paint jobs, just standard decals, but I still get compliments. Ordered some nice carbon bottle cages from Nashbar (on sale!) as BD bikes don't have any. The frame is great, subtle but stiff.
Overall I've got a few 100 miles on the bike and I'm very happy and impressed. Kinda wished I had the extra $300 for the I-Force, but I'm not sure I would notice the difference.
