$950.00
at Ride Away Bikes - Sa Model Year: 2006 Favorite Ride: Krueger Canyon Bike Setup: Look Keo Sprint pedals, Polar S625X HR monitor with speed/cadence, xLab flat wing setup. Summary: Got this bike at a great price and have been very pleased with it. It has the best spec for the price. I haven't found anything near it in quality and setup for the dollar. I have a Specialized Allez Elite also, so I knew I liked the value at this level of Specialized bike. They haven't changed this bike AT ALL for 2007, so I feel that I got a great value especially since mine came with an Ultegra rearend on it from the factory! Strengths: Great frame, DA-Ultegra-105 mix. Nice Aero setup with Profile Carbon Stryke and Aero seat post. Weaknesses: Tektro Brakes are terrible. Slow to stop and very bad pads that seem to create a layer of dust on everything. Similar Products Used: Specialized Allez Elite ('05).

Price Paid:
$0.00 Bike Setup: Specialized Transition Elite, upgraded to DA 9, with HED Trispoke front and Renn Disc Rear. Summary: Be very careful of this bicycle - Caveat Emptor - frameset. Mine will not take tires greater than 21 width without rubbing the rear brake bridge. 23 width tire drag on the rear brake bridge and polish off the pain and square off the tire. Specialized though claimes that 23 width tires are the maximum allowed. Specialized also claims that the bike comes with 21 width tires, mine came with 23 and so are others I've seem in the local bike shop. Specialized then justifies poor assembly because it is a TT bike. When it works, it is a great frameset, particularly if you buy it right - if you have a problem with it - Specialized does not make an effort to back it up, but to justify it with worthless spin. Strengths: Stiff, Stable and Cool Weaknesses: Poorly assembled - worthless warranty support and inadequate documentation for an informed decision.
