3T's Team series of carbon fiber seatposts are immediately recognized for their trademark red stripe running down the length of the post. However, if you prefer a stealthier approach to frame aesthetics, you might be pleased to find that 3T now offers the Doric Team Carbon Seatpost in this sexy uni-directional gloss black. Citing inspirations from classical Greek architecture, the Doric features a sleek, unidirectional carbon fiber 'column,' with a 7075 aluminum carrier where the shaft meets the two-bolt clamp. The beauty of this two-bolt clamp is how easy it is to dial in your perfect saddle angle. We don't understand why some seat posts still have serrated clamps that limit your ability to make these adjustments. Similar to the heralded simplicity of Thomson seatposts, the Doric clamp has both a front bolt and a rear bolt, so if the nose is too low, all you have to do is slightly back out the front bolt and slightly tighten the rear bolt.Unlike the similar 3T Dorico post, note that the Doric has zero setback. If you currently ride a seatpost with setback, and your seat is pushed back on that post, you might not be able to get the position you want with this post. An easy way to check is to visualize where the clamp would grab your seat rails if your current setback post didn't have the curve.The Doric Team is the lightest seatpost in 3T's Team series.
