Ther are alot of skewers out there that look good but not many that hold you wheel tight and dont break your hand. A little oil every now and then will help.

Summary:
I'll be honest, I bought these because of their looks - very different from most everything else out there. Bicycling mag also voted these one of its "best products" or editors choice. The locking action is the best I've ever tried, very secure without having to really honk on the lever. Buy a set!
