at At a Saratoga Bike S Favorite Ride: Roadie Bike Setup: Trek aluminum, 700 x 23 bontrager wheels and me... Summary: I have been using the Trek Sensor for the past 10 years. And I truly enjoy it and the funnctionality is so simple. The only minor issue is the when ever I change the wheels I have to re-set the number for the wheel size. Besides that, I have not had any problems and have been dropped a few times while riding and it just kept on ticking...great piece of machinery!!! ever since I bought my Trek bike. I am looking to upgrade, but don't know what to get... Strengths: Functionality is simple! Weaknesses: Re-setting the wheel size - wish it was sensory perceptive... Similar Products Used: None...

at Ebay Bike Setup: Cannondale R800 Y2K, Ultegra & D/A, Mavic, TTT, Easton, Selle, etc. faceit- the bike ROCKS! Summary: This unit is bullet proof. I have used this computer for 5+ years and never had a problem with it. It has even ended up left in my jersey pocket thorugh a wash or two and still keeps on ticking. Not sure why some folks are having trougle replacing the battery. I use the same as most computers use. This unit is a good choice. Strengths: Accurate, no fault unit. Slim design looks good on the bike. Weaknesses: None. Similar Products Used: Specialized, Vetta, Cateye

at Garfield Hts, OH Bik Bike Setup: Giant Sedona 21.5" Mountain Bike Summary: Been using the Trek Sensor for more than 5 years with no problems. It just works. Has all the functions I'm looking for. Battery finally died and I'm online searching for a users manual. Strengths: Set it and forget it. Resetting trip info is easy. Weaknesses: You can pay more for more functions, but I don't need them. Similar Products Used: Sigma Sport BC800

at Pedal Moraine (West Favorite Ride: roads, but CAMBAs in WI are grand Bike Setup: old = Trek 700 (stock core with lots of minor add-ons)
brand spanking new = Jamis Quest Summary: Well, I'm a roadie but have put my bike through a lot of abuse. I got the Sensor about 5 years ago (1997 or so) on sale and it has performed almost flawlessly. The only problem I had was finding a replacement battery to fit it. The one I got works fine but is too big for the battery cover to snap on securely. This led to the computer turning off unexpectedly, blanking out, and erasing the odometer. I fixed it with a splat of electrical tape across the back. It's worked just fine since then, and I've only had to replace the battery that one time. That's what the auto-off feature gets you!
I just got a new bike and am planning on moving this computer over to it until my wallet is recovered enough to get a computer with cadence. That's about the only weakness I've seen. Strengths: good display, easy to control, manual tire size entry = accurate, basic features, durable, water-resistant, removable faceplate Weaknesses: no cadance, odd battery size
