Strengths: Costs less than a Polar and has some useful features. The chest strap is more comfortable than a Polar.Weaknesses: Highly susceptible to interference from power lines, other monitors and computers; I have a 15+ year old Polar that I would use when my Cardiosport was back at the manufacturer and it always had a signal where my Cardiosport did not. Consistenty fails and must be sent in for repair. I'm actually on my fourth Heartsafe TZ, which is a problem because they no longer have parts: when this one breaks, I'm out of luck. I would encourage anyone to buy a Polar.Bottom Line: Too few useful features. No coded chest strap. Highly susceptible to interference. Poorly manufactured.
