$0.00 Bike Setup: Kestrel KM40 Summary: Very easy to use. I didn't need to adjust it at all, just put my bike on it and started.
I have never used rollers before, but had no trouble at all balancing, even in the aerobars, standing or doing one leg drills.
The bike feels much more lively than in a stationary trainer. It is a bit pricey, and it will get a lot of use over the winter... Strengths: Bumpers stop you from coming off the sides. Very easy to balance on. Weaknesses: None Similar Products Used: Computrainer

at 1 Up USA Website Favorite Ride: Bike Bike Setup: 2008 Cervelo SLC-SL DA10 setup with a wireless SL+ powertap, Summary: I received these for Christmas and I can say that this the best indoor trainer I've ever used bar none. I like this trainer so much that I ride on it even when it's nice outside. I use it in conjunction with a powertap and I get all the data and feed back that I need. Strengths: Well built and definitely worth the money. Makes time fly by when riding these. Customer service is awsome too. Weaknesses: None Similar Products Used: Computrainer, Velodyne Classic, Cateye CS1000, Blackburn Mag trainer and Kreitler rollers

at Inside Ride Bike Setup: Roller bike: Specialized M4 S Works road bike with DA 9 speed components, and Mavic Cosmic Elite hoops. Summary: Living here in PDX, I went over to Inside Ride's shop in North Plains, OR to test out the rollers. I met Larry and Joanne who set me up with my own set of rollers they had set aside for me to test. It is a totally different experience when you get someone who designed and produced the product you are going to buy walk you through the finer points of how the product came to be and instruct you on the best way to use it. It is kinda like buying a Ferrari by picking it up at the factory in Modena. And this is the Ferrari of rollers, by the way. The construction and design is completely different to what you know rollers to be. And, as such, the feel is different too. First off, the sliding frame gives you a road feel unlike any other trainer or roller can. Moreover, it allows you to work out in ways that I couldn't before with regular rollers. Flat out sprints and out of the saddle efforts were easy, and the mag unit really piles on the resistance if you are up to the effort. The sliding frame also gives you an indication of how smooth you pedal strokes are. It becomes a challenge to see how still you can keep the frame. And the whole experience was pretty quiet too. Definitely not anywhere near the rumble you get with stationary trainers and quieter even than my old alloy rollers. I could totally block them out with my earphones and I didn't even have to crank up the TV when I was riding it to hear what was going on. To tell the truth, it took me some time before I was able to trust myself to go all out on these rollers. True, the bumper wheels will keep you from veering off the rollers but my mind which was programmed on the old rollers didn't allow me to relax the first couple of times when I was riding it. As I rode it a bit more and veered my bike to hit the rollers intentionally it began to dawn on me that this actually works. I can go balls out! And this design is a much better implementation of safety than the crappy parabolic rollers you see out there. All in all, the construction is of an extremely high quality. The rollers themselves are black anodized aluminum so it leaves very little residue like the regular allow rollers. And the set has got a good heft to it. Not so heavy that it isn't portable, but enough so that you know that it's pretty solidly built. I haven't tried Kreitlers yet, but I have had alloy and poly rollers and the e-motion severely outclasses them. The price may seem expensive, but in my mind it was worth every penny. This will do more for you than a set of carbon hoops or some other weight weenie part. Strengths: Quality build, mag unit changes up workout, design is like no other unit out there. Great customer service. Weaknesses: None that I could really see. Similar Products Used: Performance alloy rollers Cycleops poly rollers. And various stationary trainers & stationary bicycles.

at On-line Bike Setup: A recently refurbished Centurion Expert Ironman, circa 1988. Summary: Very easy to set up. This was my first time ever on rollers, and I found it was pretty easy to get my balance right away.
I'm probably different than most of the people reviewing this product in that I don't really ride on the road much anymore. I'm a recreational rider who mostly trains indoors for various reasons. My old mag trainer was used for a spin workout. So while my cardio was fine, I didn't have the leg strength to ride very long on these rollers. It took about two weeks to get the strength and stamina built up, but now I can go for a long workout on these rollers with no problems. As I get to a level where the resistance isn't doing it for me anymore, I'll engage the resistance unit. These rollers provide a great workout that's much more fun than my old trainer. I actually look forward to riding on these. And I know that I'm really building a lot of strength and stamina in my legs that I didn't have before. I'm getting twice the workout I got out of my old trainer, and I'm having more fun doing it. Strengths: Virtually no set up. Very well made. Very easy to get feel for in terms of balance. A lot of fun to ride. Weaknesses: I'd say price, but these are worth it. It's not really a weakness with the product (more with myself) that I thought I'd be able to at it for an hour or more the first time I used these rollers. Now that I've got the strength built up, that's not an issue. Similar Products Used: None really. Just a cheap mag trainer I bought at Costco.

at eBay Favorite Ride: smooth roads and East TN trails Bike Setup: Trek 5900 Summary: This Fall and Winter I wanted to lose some weight and concentrate on improving my balance and pedal stroke. So after trying a trainer and getting bored I decided to get some rollers. Face it, if you don't enjoy doing something, you won't do it very long. After much research it became apparent these were the best rollers on the market. They are well built, quite, stable and easy to ride. At 800.00+ they are not cheap but if you are limited riding outside due to weather it would be difficult to find a better investment. If you love to ride, you'll love these rollers. Strengths: Quality construction and enjoyable to ride Weaknesses: Price but well worth the investment Similar Products Used: One-up USA trainer
