at InsideRide.com Bike Setup: Rollers set up was a cinch--the rollers were pre-assembled and I just had to adjust length to match my wheel base. Summary: I was debating between rollers and a trainer and was concerned that riding on rollers was too difficult when I came across the InsideRide rollers in some YouTube videos and was convinced these were the way to go. Strengths: Used all winter long. It's much harder to fall off these rollers than other types. Weaknesses: Expensive, but you get what you pay for. Hopefully with higher volumes they can bring the price down--I couldn't wait. Website lead time was a little optimistic--I waited 5 weeks, but the website said 3, so check before ordering.

at Mock Orange Bikes, W Favorite Ride: US 221 from Blowing Rock, NC to Grandfather Mountain Bike Setup: Cannondale R2000 Ultegra Summary: This review is for those who are new to trainers and want an honest assessment on how easy emotion rollers are to ride. As a long time bike commuter, I have never had the need for a trainer until moving two years ago to the North Carolina Highlands. So after over 35 years of riding, I had never used a trainer or rollers. I was told that rollers were too difficult to master and that they required lots of practice. Well e-motion rollers are a paradigm shift on that notion. I went to a LBS that had them in stock, hopped on and was up and riding on the first try. I had no idea what all the fuss about rollers was, but the salesman said not to try what I did on regular rollers.
Well I have been riding for a few weeks now and love the work out and have never come close to falling off. I have even been standing up and sprinting/climbing. Trust me; I am 6'4" with a high center of gravity and a poor sense of balance, and have been riding in the early morning right after getting up. So if I can ride these things anybody can.
I would bet that all old style rollers are a thing of the past and will go the way of the slide rule. Strengths: Quality of product materials and design.
Absolutely ingenious product, why didn't anyone think of this sooner.
Calling the company to register my product and actually talking to the inventor and owner of the company.
Very comfortable, no seat discomfort. Weaknesses: A bit pricey, but the premium I paid was so I did not have to wait for 6 weeks the product was in backlog. And I supported by LBS. Next year in the dead of winter up here in the mountains of NC, I will be very happy to have my emotion rollers to ride. Similar Products Used: None, so I am a great testament to the value of this new technology.

at Shaker Cycle Favorite Ride: Emerald Necklace Bike Setup: Trek Madone, Campagnolo 9-speed. Summary: I demoed these last year and finally bought my own. These are an absolute joy to ride. They are super easy to set up and to start using. One ride on these and you'll put away your trainer. Strengths: Ease of use (you can easily be riding in less than a minute). Quality design and construction. Weaknesses: Initial cost, but you get what you pay for. Similar Products Used: No other rollers. I also use a Cyclops Fluid, but rarely ride it now.

at Cycle Loft Bike Setup: Madone
Ultegra
Ksyrium ES Summary: Just got the emtion rollers. In a word . . . amazing. See strengths/weaknesses below. Strengths: SMOOTH. The closest feeling to riding on the road. Stable and well made. Easy to set-up - I didn't have to make a single adjustment - just unwrapped the rollers and started riding.
I had jury-rigged regular rollers with casters on the botton in order to be able to stand and sprint (a lousy version of the emotion). The real emotion is much better than that. It's surprising how much you move with standing, sprinting, and reaching for water bottle or trying to remove clothing.
The bumpers on the front intended to keep you from falling off REALLY work. Last night was doing big sprints - 150 rpm and pushing at 100% effort. Well, I got a little sloppy at one point and my front wheel banged (continuously) into the bumper. After a brief white knuckle moment, I relaxed and got the bike back into the middle of the roller. On any other roller I would've been picking myself and my bike off of the floor. Check out video on website of guy trying to fall off of the rollers.
Worth the money. Weaknesses: 1. Because the rollers are so forgiving, perhaps I won't be as good/stable on regular rollers in the future (if I ever use regular rollers again).
2. I have no more excuses for not riding hard indoors.
3. The rollers don't fold, so you'll likely need a minivan/SUV to transport them.

Magnetic trainer.
