Price Paid:  $0.00

Favorite Ride:
Specialized M4 S-Works, Dura-Ace 10 speed

Bike Setup:
I typically use a "disposable" bike on rollers since I've ruined a few bikes in the past by sweating all over the place. I'm currently using an old Raleigh Supercourse built up w/a random bunch of old components.

Summary:
I've used rollers for a good many years and I've always felt them to be a much more effective indoor training tool than a stationary trainer in that they help you improve your riding form by forcing you to pay attention and actually ride the bike in a straight line. These rollers take that to a whole new level. It takes a great leap of faith to ride out of the saddle on these for the first time but once you get past the tentative phase and start getting used to it it's alot of fun.

Strengths:
These rollers are extremely well made and are incredibly quiet; the drivetrain of the bike is the loudest thing you hear.

Weaknesses:
It would've been nice if they folded but I don't consider that a "weakness" in any way.

Similar Products Used:
Krietler rollers w/Killer headwind unit. Weyless rollers w/original, bike-mounted Racermate unit. Krietler quality and durability is legendary so these new rollers have some big shoes to fill, no doubt.

Price Paid:  $795.00 at Inside Ride

Bike Setup:
2010 Trek Madone 5 with SRAM Red and SRM S975

Summary:
Perfect rollers, fun to ride and so easy to master in a short period of time. I like to ride more indoor than outdoor.
I used the Cycleops Fluid2, but this one is totally different, you can get the same feeling as riding outside, you can standup, sprint, put more watts through the resistance unit.

Strengths:
Excellent Quality, can pedal out of the saddle as in climbing. Real feel of the road, improves your balance and workout more muscles than on the normal trainer.
There is no need to change your tires like the trainer.

Weaknesses:
Expensive, but it worths every penny you spent.
I begin to like more than my bike.

Similar Products Used:
Cycleops Fluid 2 Trainer.

Price Paid:  $0.00 at A gift from a friend

Favorite Ride:
e motion roller

Bike Setup:
Giant Advance SL2 composite frame bike with Ultegra component system. Continental Kevlar Tires, 24cm's.

Summary:
I had some trepidation starting the e rollers. After my friend, who gave me a set(!), helped me for the first month, I was able to mount them myself. The rollers work great and they mimic the feel of the road so well. Many of my riding buddies won't use them; they are afraid to get on! That's good for me because the more I use the rollers and the less my friends do, the better rider I will become.

Strengths:
Machined and designed superbly. Cables and bands are strong and last a long time. Roller's use is easy to master and advance on. High level of engineering for use of a cyclist, not just for one wanting to exercise. These rollers are for training cyclists, not for just calorie expenditure.

Weaknesses:
None that I can tell. If anything, maybe the roller is a little tall. Possibly, the steel frame could be made a little lower.

Similar Products Used:
Various back wheel machines. Horible!
