Lemond Fitness G-Force RT

Description
Built to deliver a better workout, every component of the g-force RT has been designed to be more innovative than any other recumbent indoor bike. Whether you are a home fitness enthusiast or a highly conditioned athlete, you will immediately appreciate the difference.

Amazingly quiet and smooth to ride, you can select from one of 11 different exercise programs - from heart rate training to five exclusive programs designed by Greg LeMond. As you pedal, it's easy to vary the intensity of your workout from 1 to 20 levels, giving you the widest watt range available in the industry (from 23 to over 1400). Contact heart rate sensors are built into the handlebars for easy access. The g-force RT is also the only bike that lets you take up to a 2 minute break without shutting down and stores up to 3 user profiles - allowing fast set ups.

Price Paid:  $2000.00 at Bob Block

Favorite Ride:
Brown County IN

Bike Setup:
Custom builds: TCR Advanced - Dura Ace, Santa Cruz Blur XC - XT

Summary:
Needed to supplement my riding when my back is in bad shape and bending over my bars is not an option. Also weather and timing. I was getting ready to purchase a Cyclops 300e and decided to first take a look at this. End of story there becuase there was no comparision. The Lemond is ultra smooth, quiet, self power generating and extremely comfortable. The programs work well and have many levels to choose from. The seat is the extremely well made and the canvas back will keep you cool. This machine measures everything you are interested in. Speed, Dist, Watts, HR, body types. If you are on the fence of a trainer, roller or spinner first try this out.

Strengths:
Excellent product - well built

Weaknesses:
Speed is not constantly avail.

Similar Products Used:
Cyclop, Kurt Kinetic, Schwinns

Price Paid:  $2200.00 at Health Styles, Fort

Favorite Ride:
High plains Grasslands Research Station

Bike Setup:
Not real applicable.

Summary:
I had prostate cancer / surgery and was told by my doc not to ride my road bike for 6 months due to problems in my sensitive areas caused by a standard road saddle. A recumbent would be OK, but I couldn't see myself riding one. A recumbent stationary model was the ticket. This has multiple programs to keep from getting bored, built in HR monitor, extarordinaryily comfortable seat, solid construction. A desireabel alternative to rollers, trainer, or, in my case, not riding at all. I put MTB pedals on it and ride clipped in.

Strengths:
Very solidly built, lots of versatility, challenging programs.

Weaknesses:
A little pricey.

Similar Products Used:
Rollers, trainers.
