Strengths: Tough material,never allows a spoke to
puncture a tube.Weaknesses: NoneBottom Line: I used to use poly rim strips but eventually
they puncture when you don't need them to fail.
Velox has worked for many years and i trust
it for road and especially mtn bike wheels.
Full 5 stars.

Strengths: It's one one those sure thingsWeaknesses: noneBottom Line: The norrower version is all you need. It's amazing how much harder to put a tire on then you have the wider version, (1/8" width difference can really help you out when you do not have tire levers w/you.
I tried all sorts of different tapes in an effort to reduce rotational weight, the Dacron worked, but shifted a lot. In the end you need to realize that this stuff has been around forever for a reason.
Bit of a pain to shove a schrader valve through the presta hole, but not impossible for those who are commuters and are paranoid about presta valves.
