Strengths:    none now

Weaknesses:    not made for heavier riders

Bottom Line:
Bought these for a road bike but seeing failure at in the rim. DT Swiss will not warranty even though they KNOW that they are faulty for heavier riders. They did not publish specs on weight for these when purchased but have since limited the weight to 198#. Called them and they basically said it was my fault for not knowing....right, how could I if they didn't make the information available. The LBS where I purchased said that DTSwiss came out with the limit after they experienced failures. What a bunch of asses. I'll NEVER,EVER buy DT Swiss again. There are many other excellent choices out there. Really, guys, for about $50. you just bought a whole lot of ill will.

The OPs and Aeroheads are rated for tires 19-28 mm, but DT Swiss rates the 415 for 19-25 mm tires. All three rims have virtually the same dimensions, so I'm inclined to ... Read More »

DT Swiss RR 1.1 --> RR 415: Same silver color?

I need to replace my rear rim which sadly met it's end going 25mph into a pot hole. It's a DT Swiss RR 1.1 28H Silver. This model has been replaced by the DT RR 415. It's hard to tell from pics on the internet but is the new 415 rim the same color as the old 1.1 rim? Has anyone seen them side-by ... Read More »
