yes, they flex...but have never popped a smoke or had any issues at al with these rims. PERIOD. there will always be a give and take with weight and strength and stiffness etc etc....for any of you larger- say, 300lb riders out there...you will find this a nice investment, especially with how inexpensive they are going for these days!!! Strengths:
you can beat these wheels up and never feel unstable. period. i have riden a pair of these down mtns and they are like on rails! Weaknesses:
just, the flexion. but what would you rather have, wheels that flex with you or wheels that have the spokes pop out and scare the living heck out of you??? Similar Products Used:
several mavic wheelsets, a shimano wheelset and a bontrager wheelset...
