Summary:
Open Pro Rim with Dura Ace Hubs 32x32
This is the second set of Open Pro rims that I have had laced to these hubs. The rear rim just started cracking after about a year. I use thes a training wheels so I am a little rough on them. They ride great and are super stiff. The first set cracked after about 3 years of hard riding this one lasted only about 5000 miles. Great riding rims but keep an eye out for on the rear rim if you are rough on them. If they did not crack they would be a 5 but I will still give them a 3 because they are a great riding whhe befor they strart to crack.

Strengths:
Stiff/ Responsive / light

Weaknesses:
Cracked after about 5000 miles

Bike Setup:
quattro assi max,10 speed campy record.

Summary:
I bought these red anodized when they first came out and after building them noticed the clicking noise at the joint of the rear wheel.I build my own wheels evenly tensioned and rarely need to true any of them and these werent any different except for the noise problem Eventually I just took them apart and hacksawed them in half then gave them to my brother who recycles beer cans.Mavic says the 08 model is improved but didnt say how.I am still leery of buying these again because the first two were junk.

Strengths:
stay reasonably true if built right

Weaknesses:
clicking noise no guarantees

Summary:
If your looking to build up a wheel for racing and training, this isn't your wheel. Don't look to build these up with low spoke counts and radial spoking. I have my rear wheel laced 3x and the front is 2x, and low spoke tension. They aren't the greatest at staying true, but after the first 3 months, they hold their shape better. I haven't had any problems with them in terms of cracking, and I've hit some pretty unforgiving potholes. I use these as my dedicated training wheels, and the local crits and road races, For the big stuff though, make sure you have some real race wheels

Strengths:
Durable, high mileage, great training wheels.

Weaknesses:
Hard to keep true for the first few months, low tension.

Bike Setup:
DeRosa Nuovo Classico
all Campy Chorus with Record brakes

Summary:
These rims are all right. I haven't had the noise problems with then that others complain about. They are reasonably light, and stay pretty true. I've had them for a little over a year and put about 3000 miles on them.

While cleaning my bike recently, I noticed 2 longitudinal cracks in the center of the rear rim. They start at the spoke ferrules & extend in both directions around the rim. They're small now, but I'm disappointed to see them.

They will be replaced with some Velocity Deep V's.

Strengths:
Light weight, stay true.

Weaknesses:
Cracked at spoke ferrules.

You name it, I've probably had it.
