Strengths: Strong
Nice ride -- not too much or too little flex
Clyde-friendly
Good valueWeaknesses: Heavy -- but they're supposed to beBottom Line: Purchase price is for F & R built with Shimano 105 hubs, 32 spoke. I got these 17 months ago and I use them on my commuter -- so far with Panaracer Pasela 32 tires. I am +200Ibs and they've held up well for my commute in the Hudson Valley, over roads that I would call moderately rough. I've been in NYC on them several times -- once for the all-urban century there -- and they have withstood the more serious challenges of big city streets, no problem. Wide and heavy, these are not for racing. But they're a great option for commuting, city riding, and I would guess trails and touring.

Strengths: Well...strength. Eyelets. Quality controlWeaknesses: Not welded seams, but finding those on wider 700c rims is extremely rare.Bottom Line: I laced up a silver 36-hole version to a Nexus 8-speed hub using Wheelsmith DB14 spokes. The rim was straight and true. The wheel has remained true after 1700 miles. Eyelets are fine, no separation. The rim's seam was aligned fine, no sharp protrusion.
