Strengths: Asymmetrical profile allows for more even spoke tension. Light weight for a clincher. Easy to mount tires. Has held up well over a couple of big potholes with no dents.Weaknesses: None so far.Bottom Line: I had my LBS build wheelset with matching regular Aerohead on the front. Built with DT double-butted spokes and brass nips, laced 3X on Dura Ace 130mm hub. I weigh 170 and ride on mixed roads. Too soon to comment on long term durability, but so far wheels have stayed perfectly true, and ride smoothly and comfortably.

Strengths: Light, semi-aero, reasonably pricedWeaknesses: Too light? Dents more easily than most. Stay on the smooth stuff.
Also: no eyelets=pain in the ass to buildBottom Line: I like the idea of the aerohead oc. It built into a wheel with more even tension than the typical rear, and the asymmetry makes it pretty cool looking. But it is what it is: a very light clincher rim. It is much less stout than most of the box-section rims I've used. Due to the offcenter design the drive side is extra broad and more vulnerable to denting than any other rim I've ever ridden. Full disclosure: I am somewhat more demanding on equipment than many. I ride my road bike up and down curbs all day long, over gnarly potholes and trolley tracks, and sometimes offroad. With heavier rims this is not a problem.

Strengths: Price. Light. Offset rim provides better spoke tension balanceWeaknesses: None yet. Not enough miles to assess long term durabilityBottom Line: I bought the Velocity Aero OCR to replace a Ambrosio Balance with cracks at the eyelets (after 12,000 miles). I had the shop build in on the existing Veloce 32h hub. The Velocity seemed like a good pick as its lighter and cheaper than an Open Pro and matched the old rim pretty well. After two seasons its been problem free. That may be as much to do with the good quality build the shop did. I have no complaints thus far
Favorite Ride: any where I don't crash or crack
