Strengths: -low rolling resistance
-dry traction acceptableWeaknesses: -puncture easy
-longevity
-wet tractionBottom Line: This tire came on my Domane 6.9. I can't believe Trek equipped such a cheap tire on a high end bike.
First cut after 200 miles on smooth, clean roads. A small stone cut deep, easily.
Handling is acceptable --but only in perfect dry conditions. On wet roads this tire is scary.
Rough roads --it's okay, if you slow down. Way down. Just not acceptable.
I guess this tire would be okay on a $800 bike.

Strengths: easy to put on very lightweightWeaknesses: poor puncture resistance no grip in wetBottom Line: brought these tires after stock tires wore out after 3000 miles which were specialized monos fitted to my tarmac carbon sl
2 and didnt have one single puncture.the bontis punctured after 60 miles .these tires are next to useless in the wet rear wheel spinning when out of the saddle going up hill.and the handling not confidence inspiring when decending at speed.would not buy anymore tires from bontrager.

Strengths: Puncture protection, Dry Traction, confident handlingWeaknesses: Slippery when wetBottom Line: Great tire, the puncture protection is superb. I've ridden over all kinds of things I shouldn't have, even gone on the C&O canal. Still not one flat. This is a great durable road tire. I have these in 700x25.

Strengths: DurabilityWeaknesses: Slippery in wet conditionsBottom Line: After further review I must say these tires are a solid training tire. They are very durable with a good sidewall. They will handle rough roads, gravel, and debris with no problem. The biggest downside is that they are very slick on wet roads.

Strengths: They're usually in the sale bucket in most shops.Weaknesses: They only work in perfect conditions and are totally attrocious in anything else.Bottom Line: One of the worst tyres I've ever had on a bike. Gives zero grip in anything other than perfect conditions - don't bother trying to turn in the wet, you're bike will just vanish underneath you! Even on damp roads, I have to climb in the saddle as the back wheel slips far too much.
Only marginally faster than riding with flat tyres.
Similar Products Used: I remember Pariba having a range of coloured tubulars in the 1990s which could only be ridden by the suicidal, or people who enjoyed crashing a lot. These R2s make a good update for them.
