Product Description

The tread of the Continental Ultra Sport Clincher Tire bears great resemblance to Conti's all-time best-selling high-end clincher, the GP4000. In our minds that's an indication of what the Ultra Sport will ride like -- low rolling resistance with excellent grip and durability. You get excellent puncture-protection, too, thanks to its multi-layer casing (it's 3 fabric plies, to be exact, the same as the GP4000). Since Continental makes the Ultra Sport clincher with 84 TPI, it keeps the price in check while keeping the weight at a happy place of 240g. If you're looking for a true all purpose tire -- reasonably light for race day, nicely tough for all-conditions training -- this should be on your short list. Black rubber with Black sidewalls. 700x23 only.

Strengths:    These tires just take a beating and keep on rolling.

Weaknesses:    None that I have seen yet

Bottom Line:
I got into road cycling during my first 3 day 250+ mile ride last year and bought these tires in blue to match my older bike last year. I rode over 500 miles and no flats or issues. I got a white set this year and put well over 700 miles again no flats. The roads were less than perfect and some riddled with holes and bumps and still these tires rolled on. I would highly recommend these tires.
