| | Bike Setup: Gazelle Demax (slooping, Reynolds 531) Dura-Ace 9 speed Mavic Cosmic Equipe wheels Summary: The number of flats is very low!
Very good tire, but the (all) Michelins are now a bit too heavy as an all out racing tire compared to the newest designs from Vittoria and Continental (would ohterwise have gotten 5 stars overall!)
This is still an excellent tire for those who are not too weight-concious and value good cornering characteristics. Strengths: very few flats great cornering grip, also in wet conditions, despite the fact that it is a slick relatively light (215-230 gr) cheap for a top racing tire Weaknesses: Too heavy compared to the newest racing slicks from Vittoria (Ultra Speed, 145 gr) and Continental (140-155 gr) Similar Products Used: Specialized Turbo(Umma Gumma?) (not enough grip) Vittoria Corsa CX dual thread (not enough grip when cornering, especially in wet conditions, the all blacks are much better)
