Description
The Pasela works so well that it's made in lots of sizes, including one for you. The Pasela's sweet spot is its grooved center tread, which rolls down the road and shakes off the odd patch of debris. ...

Summary:
I bought the Panaracers based on very positive online feedback and word-of-mouth. I've come to the conclusion that these are the worst tires I've ever owned. After two months without problems these tires started going flat at least twice a week due to small shards of glass on the road. The tires offer absolutely no resistance to glass. If you live in the city and use your bike often steer clear of this inferior product.

Strengths:
Smooth ride.

Weaknesses:
Any small sharp objects will tear through these like a butter knife through crisco.

Bike Setup:
Giant FCR2

Summary:
+5 for great puncture resistance, -2 for sketchy build quality.

These tires have been troublefree since I put them on three months ago. So far I've had no flats and I've probably put around 1000 miles on them.

Traction is good on dry pavement, but a bit sketchy on wet pavement - which is mostly an issue with the Seattle roads which are often slick in the rain, but still an issue for me.

No punctures so far, and I go about 10-20 miles on urban roads that are often littered with glass bits of all sorts - bottles, broken windows, and other various debris. I've noticed a few gashes in the tires from this debris, but nothing has penetrated the tire to strike the tube.

The build quality is a concern. They always felt cheap. Even when new they weren't symmetrical, the border between the yellow sidewall and the black tread is nowhere near straight, and the sidewall has various bulges from sketchy construction. Recently I've noticed that the sidewall has also started to crack. It's purely cosmetic at this point, but it certainly doesn't earn them any points.

Strengths:
Puncture resistance
Glass tolerance

Weaknesses:
Traction, especially in rain
Build quality

Similar Products Used:
Kenda Kwest (considerably worse puncture resistance, but better road feel and traction, same speed)

ctc club

audax, club tourer, heavy commuter

Summary:
cheap bargain for winter use on 2nd bike.
Soon became favourites for all long rides out with the club. rolling resistance I think surprisingly low (32mm)at 90psi.great grip in all weathers. no flats in 2 years that I can remember.the 32mm soak up road buzz and cope well with rough stuff.

Strengths:
good all round and cheap, long distance ,commuting, relaible.

Weaknesses:
said to be heavy, but except for a race I cannot feel it.

Price Paid:  $23.00 at Universal Cycles

Favorite Ride:
Tomorrow's

Bike Setup:
Vintage tourer/racer, Araya rims.

Summary:
27" 1/4 on a commuter. I don't ride in freezing weather, and my route is all paved. Can't say enough good things about this tire so far, very smooth and true line and they take bumps and pot holes well. Excellent value. Good fit and clincher stability on vintage rims, which isn't true for all brands.

Strengths:
Smooth roller, good tracking and good looking.

Weaknesses:
None so far.

Similar Products Used:
Various 27" tires.
