Panaracer Roll-y Pol-y Tires - Clincher

Product Description

Features:
1. 700c x 27 The designation on the sidewall is 700x28 due to some Japanese law we're told, but it measures a true 27mm wide on most road rims and fit 90% of frames today.
2. It has a round cross section for good cornering, like tubulars. The extra degree of roundness comes from a three part mold, instead of the usual two part mold, which most modern road tires have.
3.Features "checkerboard technology" tread pattern of alternated 8mm squares of treadless and angled tread.
4. The tread is black, the sidewalls are tan, and the logo has a bug.
5. Roll-y Pol-ys come with a kevlar bead at 290g.

Bottom Line:
Used these since '02 commuting and road riding. Riv's descriptions have to be taken with a grain of salt, but these are every bit as good. Main concern was weight going from 25c to 27c. HonestlyI couldn't feel the weight. Definitely felt a big overall improvement in the ride. Round profile corners smoother, same contact patch leaning into a corner or going straight. Aren't super thick, but still one of the most flat resistant and durable tire I've used. Don't need 100 psi to avoid pinch flats.
