Strengths: Flat resistance, grip, ride qualityWeaknesses: weightBottom Line: The builder who built my frame had some kind of a deal with Ritchey that allowed him to complete the build using Ritchey parts for a very reasonable price. I had him stick the Race slick WCS (non-open) tires on. Because they were cheap and kind of heavy, I thought I’d just use them as training tires and I also bought some proper “race” tires for use during race season. I left them on for some spring Roubaix races because they had proven flat resistant. Several crits and a stage race later, I’m now well into my race season and can’t bring myself to take them off.
In the interest of full disclosure, I am coming off of a race bike that didn’t fit me very well, so I may be giving the tires some credit for the benefits of a well built custom frame with proper weight distribution. I’ve been leaning far harder into corners than I had before and haven’t had one slip or even a squeak, even on wet roads. The ride feels very smooth and I’m up to about 1500 miles on them without any flats.
They are pretty heavy and I could probably save about 100g by putting on a different tire, but the peace of mind I get from these tires when going into a fast descent on a wet road makes them worth the weight. I had a few important races ruined by untimely flats on lightweight race tires last year and I don’t see any reason to take an unnecessary risk in the interest of saving a few ounces. It helps that they cost significantly less than any other tires I’ve used that perform this well.

Strengths: The graphics are classic and low key, black tire, black sidewalls, small swatch of World Champion (WCS) colors on the side.
Very grippy. Smooth rolling.Weaknesses: Hard to find.Bottom Line: I love these tires. They are super grippy and lasted through an entire season of training races, including riding to and from the races 12-20 miles each way depending on the race.
No other tire has performed as well for me in this task. They're not the very lightest tire on the market but they definitely hold their own against other lightweight tires. These are about 15 grams heavier than the really lightweight clinchers, and that's hardly anything at all. Perfect for crits and circuit races.
I would give this tire a 5 for value but I think the msrp is a little high and I've never seen them on sale. For price paid I put in the number that I would pay if I could find them locally.
