Product Description

The Durano S is even faster than the regular Durano tire. Dynamic slick profile is very similar to the popular Stelvio design. RaceGuard puncture protection reduces flats without weighing you down. Lots of color options.

Strengths:    Puncture Resistant
Above Average Rolling

Weaknesses:    Availability

Bottom Line:
I bought a 2012 Cannondale Supersix with the Duranos S in June 2012, I have ridden over 2000 miles with them. I have not had a single puncture. They roll well. The front tire still has a nice round shape; however the back has more wear. I am a tad heavy at 210 pounds, so I expect this wear from most tires (same happened with with Conti's and Michellin's). I set them up at 120 psi before each ride. I just rotated the tires this weekend, so I expect another 1000-1500 miles on them. I am buying another set of duranos S to be ready when the time comes. I just bought set of them on-line for $35 from Wiggle; free shipping from the UK when I bought the set. I am ready for winter

Strengths:    Fairly light, roll fast, and wear extremely well.
Also seem to be priced very well versus
the competition.

Weaknesses:    They don't last forever..

Bottom Line:
Great tire at a great price.

Strengths:    Great racing and training tire. Got 6,000 miles on these. Some cracking on the sidewall but still tread left.

Weaknesses:    Sidewall cracked after 4k miles, but thats expected.

Bottom Line:
I'm getting another pair. I put some GP 4000s to replace these and got a sidewall slash after 100 miles. Going back to the Schwalbe.

My Schwalbe Durano S tires are very soft!

I've had like 4 rear flats since having them. What tires do I look at now? I'm replacing them with something good for training and racing. Only 1000 miles on them and 4 flats is sad. I've informed Schwalbe of this as well. My Performance Forte tires have held up much better then these Schwalbe Duran ... Read More »
