Strengths: + Price
+ Soft and easy to get off and on (you will need to do that a lot with these)Weaknesses: - Super week structure
- Lots of flats
- Weak sidewalls
Bottom Line: Proof to me that you get what you payt for. This tire was just to hold me over to winter when I use my SS with Nokian studded tire, but I managed to get 4 flats in two days including blowing out the sidewall on this tire. Switching to Panaracer Tservs instead of these really cheapo Serfas tires. Not sure what these are good for as they would not even work for commuting or tooting around. Junk, just as cheap junk often is.
Favorite Ride: Pyrenees
Price Paid:
$15.00
Purchased At: LBS
Similar Products Used: None in the same entry level category as these Serfas, but otherwise Panaracer Paselas (much better, also really cheap), Vittoria Rubino Pro Slick (superior), Michelin Pro Race (1s & 2s; also far superior in all ways). Vittoria Revolution KXS (my favorite so far). Going to test the GP 4000 next.
Bike Setup: Seven Odonata with Campy Chorus, fenders and lights, for fall, night and winter riding.
