at Criterium Bicycle Favorite Ride: Garden of Gods Bike Setup: Koga Miyata Gran Tourer FM3 Chrome/Moly alloy frame, Shimano Ultegra 9 components. Summary: Used several of these tires because of their durability. Yesterday, on a 700x28 tire with about 1000 miles, the outer tread came off in one piece at about 30 mph and wrapped itself into the rear gear cluster. I have never experienced this before. Apparently, the adhesive holding the outer rubber to the Kevlar failed Strengths: No flats, no blowouts Weaknesses: Outer layer comes off in one piece at high speed like a re-treaded auto/truck tire after 1000 mi Similar Products Used: Continental 3000, Schwalbe Marathon

at specialized.com Favorite Ride: Skyline Rd Bike Setup: Reynolds 853 steel frame w/steel fork, Ultegra gruppo Summary: 700-26c, tough, long-wearing tire, a bit heavy for the size and feel hard/harsh even at low pressures; if you're having trouble with flats - try these, otherwise save the weight and get some softer tires, your teeth and lower back will thank you Strengths: no flats Weaknesses: feels like riding on concrete tires, even at 65# of pressure, these tires do not inspire confidence when cornering and rattle your teeth on bad roads Similar Products Used: Specialized non-armadillo 700-25c
Conti Gator 700-28c
