Strengths: Fast, and not affected by cross winds.Weaknesses: Pricey, and seems to only be compatible with Dura Ace cassettes. This proved problematic when I tried to marry it to my Sram Red cassette, leaving me no other choice other than spending more money buying a compatible Dura Ace cassette.Bottom Line: A beautiful wheel that definitely turns heads, especially when they’re being past. Light weight and aerodynamic, the Roval Rapid Star carbon clincher wheels are the fastest and smoothest wheel I have ever owned. With a beautiful red center, unique in its own right; allowing you to cut threw the air in front of you like a hot knife threw butter. Over priced? Yes, but aren’t most high-end wheels, I mean how fun would it be if everyone had them? If you have the money and the fever to go faster and be better, then definitely go with the Rapid Star.
Bike Setup: Right now I have my Rapid Stars on my Cannondale Synapse. Fitted with the Sram Red group, all but my cassette that had to be Dura Ace. My tires are Continentals 4000 Grand Prix’s, a great tire for an even better wheel.
