Favorite Ride:
Tom's Farms Time Trials!! 10 miles.

Bike Setup:
Giant TCR Aero, Vision Tech TriMax Aero bars. Profile Design Fast Forward seat post. Alex 320 wheels. Tufo S33 Special Tubular Clinchers.

Summary:
This review is for the C Jet Special 700C. I got these tires two weeks ago (11-26-2004) I rode them for about 70 miles. The first 50 miles were awesome. These tires are definately fast and stable. However, the last 20 miles were a nightmare. I was riding on my local riverbed route, and the tires ended up sucking up so many glass shards it was unbelieveable. I also managed to get a 1/2" cut in the tread. They thing that made these tires uselss was a 2mm hole that the Tufo Sealant stuff would not seal. It sealed a little bit, but it was still bubbling out of the hole. All of the major damage happened to the front wheel, which I thought was odd. These tires are supposed to have a puncture resistant liner. In all of my experience, I have had most of my tire damage occur in the rear tire. So, I took these tires back to Tri-Zone.com (I live 7 miles from it) They let me exhange them for Tufo's S33 Special 700c tubular clinchers (I will review those in a few weeks) One note about these tires, they have a 19mm width, and they are "lentil" shaped. This might have attributed to the cuts and slices

Strengths:
High Pressure (up to 175 PSI!)
Low rolling resistance

Weaknesses:
Very susceptible to cutting.
Sucks up glass like a vacuum cleaner.
Narrow!! 19mm width
