Favorite Ride:
Greenway (fast bike trail)

Bike Setup:
1982 Faggin track bike - Campy Pista/Record parts. Pista hubs with Omega clincher rims

Summary:
These are great tires if you are a tubular person - I LOVE these things - grip and roll like only a tubular should - much better than the vreds I had on my little Faggin track bike - I am amazed at how good these tires ride. They are wearing fast - less than 600 miles on them, the rear is not liking skidding, and he front shows noticable wear.

Strengths:
As close to a tubular as I have found in a clincher - great feel, feels like you are glued to the road and really fast.
Cheaper than tubulars, and almost as much fun

Weaknesses:
Wear like a race tire - not something you should go with if you want a long wearing tire.

Price Paid:  $59.00

Favorite Ride:
Santiago Canyon / Aliso Creek

Bike Setup:
Look 585 with Sram; Litespeed Classic with Shimano; Kestrel Talon SL setup for Tri/TT. Wheels: Spinergy FCC, Velomax Orion II, Neuvation R series.

Summary:
This is an early review because of the very bad luck I've had with them. First the good: they ride very nicely and inspired confidence on descents and in fast corners. The bad: that confidence did not last long after flatting three times in as many weeks on my normal rides. So far, they seem prone to unexplained punctures and cut very easily, and very deeply (and dangerously at pressure --130psi). Though they are fairly new, and very expensive, I am seriously considering replacing them already. Not reliable enough for racing and certainly not for training. Probably going back to Conti GP4000.

Strengths:
Nice ride. Roll well. Light weight (a weakness as well).

Weaknesses:
Seem prone to punctures and easily cut up.

Similar Products Used:
Continental GP4000 (my best pick), Hutchinson Fusion Comp (OK, but easily cut), Michelin Pro Race (Good, but not as solid as Conti), Vredestein Fortezza (OK for high pressure trainer; stays together even when badly cut)

Price Paid:  $35.00 at Performance

Bike Setup:
Fuji Team RC

Summary:
I bought these to use in some select races only. They're light, roll smoothy and have good grip even in the weather. They have gotten beat up fairly quickly, i've ridden them about 400 miles and wouldn't expect to get 1000 out of them.

Strengths:
Fast, rolling resistance & grippy

Weaknesses:
Price
Same soft grippy material is also easily cut

Favorite Ride:

Bike Setup:
Torelli Toccata
Campy groupo
Spinergy Wheelset

Summary:
I ran my Vredestein Tri Comps to the bone and did some research on tires. I figured that I'd give these Vittoria's a shot. I am HIGHLY disappointed with the constant flatting of the tires. Vredestein = NO flats over 2500 miles and Vittoria = 5 flats over 150 miles.
There is no change in the tube or tire installation and the tires are run @ 120psi. Totally disappointed and feel like I wasted $80 for these tires. A big lesson learned on sticking to what works and what does not.

Strengths:
none

Weaknesses:
constant flatting
difficult to mount
