$0.00 Bike Setup: 2008 Giant TCR C2 Summary: Used these tires for training ride and commuting to and from uni with a heavy back pack - riding weight approximately 100kg.
After a bad start - with 4 flats over the first few months and an aneurism in one of the side walls... these tires have come into their own. After these horrific months they haven't had another flat. Even now with one of the set a bit thread bare - no more flats.
So i can see why some give these tires a great rating - and others hate them. I've experienced both 'moods' of this tire. Strengths: Once 'broken in' had great puncture resistance - good rolling efficiency - smooth tire.
Lasted 2,000km of commuting on rough tarmac with 100kg rider. Weaknesses: Temperamental. Weak sidewalls.
Not that much cheaper than other more durable training tires (gatorskins), and not as grippy as pro 3s if being used as a race tire.
so while I've enjoyed them for the last year - I can't see buying them again. Similar Products Used: Michelin Pro 3 Race

at Greg Christie's Cycl Favorite Ride: Anywhere in Limoux area, France Bike Setup: Cervelo R3 Summary: I've ridden 6,500 Km on them since mid-March (over some very, very bad roads) and they still have lots of life left. Rotated them at 2,500 Km. No flats at all. Very comfortable ride. Will replace with the same tires. Weaknesses: None, except that not a lot of bike stores in my area carry the slicks. Mostly just Rubino Pros.

$0.00 Bike Setup: Felt F3, Selle Italia SLR saddle, Ritchey WCS 4-axis alloy stem, KMC X10-SL Gold Chain, FSA ceramic bearing jockey wheels, All dura-ace except brake calipers Summary: A great value tire. I rode over 4000km on my last set and they still had rubber left. Good puncture protection. A little hard to get on rim but not as bad as some I have tried. Reasonably true, not quite perfect, but still very good. Excellent training tire. They grip well in the wet. When they do slip they are very controllable. You can push the tires to their limits and still have control. Punctures are not aggressive. Strengths: Value for money
General all round tire
Control and feel Weaknesses: Hard to get on rim at times
Puncture resistance could be better as with most tires
Rolling resistance
