Strengths:    Really supple ride quality, durable, these tires are always going to be properly matured cos they aren't making them any more!

Weaknesses:    slightly faster rate of tread wear compared to a corsa cx put on a back wheel, the coarser tread probably accounts for this...minor point though

Bottom Line:
I posted a really favorable review of the Corsa CX, I've used almost as many Corsa CGs. Of course since this tire is intended for use on the rear wheel, it is prone to more rapid wear, and more flats, so on the whole I would have to say that being on the rear wheel the Corsa CGs haven't given me as good service as the Corsa CXs. Even considering that though, I think that the coarser tread design seems to wear down faster than the finer tread of the CX, comparing the times I have mounted a CX or CX twin tread on the back. Still there's a lot of rubber on the CG under the tread so I have managed to get several thousand kms out of some of them. I don't think the CG is actually being manufactured any more. The Professional All-Weather Kevlar (green) tubular is though and the addition of the kevlar belt makes that a much better tire. The Pro All-Weather is one of Vittoria's very best, more durable than the CG or the CX, without losing their ride quality. I've rode them right through the rubber. I give this tire 4 stars for performance and 4 for value. I actually got a brand new (old stock)one last year, I'm kind of regretting having used (and flatted) it now, it'd probably be worth a lot of money in the collectors market in a few years. At least if eBay is any indication. Two stars for value if you buy it on eBay.

Strengths:    The best ride!

Weaknesses:    $$$, durability

Bottom Line:
You buy these for one reason: to race on them. Popping a $60 tire on a training ride is no fun, and neither is dealing with glue, so you buy one of these (and a CX for the front) and stick 'em on your race wheels and leave 'em there all season (if they last).

Better ride than Contis, but not as durable. If you need the best ride out there, or for race wheels only, this is your tire.
