Strengths:    Value, puncture resistance, Handling.

Bottom Line:
Great training tyre for the price. Have done about 500klms on these on roads with a lot of glass and other debris. During that time my riding mate has had 4 flats - 3 on Maxxis and 1 this morning on his brand new Gatorskins. I have had Zero, and i am about 20kgs heavier!

I have a slash in the tread from glass however nothing has got through the puncture resistant belting. An excellent tyre at a great price, handles well too....certainly gives the more favoured "puncture resistant" training tyres a run for the money.

Strengths:    Good all-around tire. Relatively inexpensive.

Weaknesses:    None that I found.

Bottom Line:
Good all-around tire. I've now used these tires for a year and a half, two pairs in about 4500 miles. No flats!
That says it all for me.

Strengths:    Good grip in a variety of conditions, fairly compliant ride at 120PSI, reasonable price. I've had one flat in 2+ years of riding on them. Plus, they're Italian!! Okay, they're made in Taiwan, but the name is Italian!!

Weaknesses:    Not a "race tire," no colors if that's your thing, wire bead so maybe a few grams heavier than a folding tire.

Bottom Line:
Rubino Techs came on my '04 Bianchi, just replaced the first set with the same tires after 2,000 miles. My repeat business says it all, just not worth trying to find another tire or brand that works as well.

Does anyone have experience with these? I am especially keen on knowing how puncture resistant they are, and off course also if they roll well and have good grip. Thanks.   Read More »
