Product Description

Road racing tire features a high thread count for quality, plus superior handling and puncture-resistance characteristics. 220 TPI with Integra casing means this tire has 3 full plies of casing in the sidewalls, and 4 in the center for an exclusively supple ride. Kevlar(R) Formula 2000 helps further reduce rolling resistance while improving wet traction.

Strengths:    They are very light, good in wet weather and great side grip, good color selection too. It's tough to find yellow tires sometimes.

Weaknesses:    tread wore down relatively quickly on rear tire, front punctured once. If you look very closely at the tires there are plenty of small cracks and blemishes from riding, though only once has anything managed to get through the tire.

Bottom Line:
These are good race tires, though I have found that mine haven't been extremely durable--I ran them at 125 psi (manufacturer's maximum)for a couple of weeks but flatted my front 4 out of 5 rides. After this happened in a race I dropped it down to 100-110 psi and I haven't flatted since. No problem with the rear tire except that the tread is almost completely slick after 1000 miles. However, they are excellent at cornering, particularly on fast descents, and handle well when rocking the bike back and forth on climbs or sprints. At 210 grams, they are significantly lighter than a lot of other tires out there too. You can usually find good deals on them from PricePoint, SuperGo, or Performance. Although they had their benefits I will not buy another pair to replace them.

Strengths:    Traction, nice feel, light weight, great price.

Weaknesses:    Yellow and natural color pattern is kind of ugly in my opinion and gets dirty very quickly. Go with darker colors.

Bottom Line:
Replaced the Specialized Turbo Sport tires that came with my bike. The grip on these is noticeably better then the stock wheels and I feel more confident taking sharper turns at higher speeds.

Traction also feels solid when accelerating, climbing and braking (no more skidding when braking hard). Also on wet pavement, these tires maintain traction well. Nice upgrade from the stock tires.

Strengths:    smooth rolling, Great handling, Light weight

Weaknesses:    None (yet)

Bottom Line:
Noticeably lighter than the Blizzard sport wire bead tires I had on previously. Handling is very good, and rolling resistance ise less patially because I'm able to run 10-15psi higher in these tires.

Strengths:    light weight
smooth ride
grippy

Weaknesses:    tread separation where colors meet..this after less then 200 miles.

Bottom Line:
Very nice ride. Grippy and light. The only problem is that the tread is starting to separate where the 2 colors (yellow & gum) come together. I first thought it was a cut but found it only where the colors come together. It is most apparent on the rear (both from and rear displaying symptoms).

Strengths:    Great puncture resistance and gripping capability.

Weaknesses:    Possible wearing and cracking of the treads a little bit earlier than one would want.

Bottom Line:
Bought these at the recommendation of the shop owner. I had always been a Continental "freak" but the owner and his roadie expert said these were good. I rode these tires for the MS 150 from San
Antonio to Corpus Christi and was alarmed by how many people had blowouts left and right. However, yours truly had no such misfortune. They really ride and grip well, and the only criticism I have is that the tread is starting to wear after only 600 miles. However, I think it has more to do with my tire gauge on my pump being off calibration. I am 5'10 and 185 lbs and these tires are surefooted while cornering in the wet weather.
