Strengths: Puncture resistantWeaknesses: Sidewall blowout at 3,500 miles (lots of tread left though).Bottom Line: I initially thought it was a great product - lots of thick tread, so you very rarely get flats. But at 3,500 miles, the rear tire suffered a sidewall blowout. My local bike shop (which sells Vredestein), says that it has a thin sidewall (they also say Conti is known for sidewall blowouts). They recommended that I buy a Schwalbe Marathon Plus.
3,500 miles might sound like a lot of miles, but remember that this is the Spider, so it is designed to go about 6,000 miles. Given that it already weighs so much (drives like a tank), I think they should have put a thicker sidewall on this tire.

Strengths: Excellent quality set of tires with low rolling resistance and puncture resistance capability.Weaknesses: Pricey and a tire I bought was not made properly, resulting in a wobbly tire (wheel is true).Bottom Line: I've never ridden a good quality and a comfortable set of tires like the Vredestein Spiders. Quick on the road and seemed puncture resistance. Have ridden through a stew of glass bits and came out unscathed which impressed me. I also ride a pair of Vredestein Fortezza road on my road racer and am equally impressed!
No complaints here.
