Price Paid:  $60.00 at Various

Favorite Ride:
Any crit with an uphill finish

Bike Setup:
R3, dura-ace, 404's

Summary:
I've won a lot of races over the years on these tires. They are fast and durable. Only lately have I been looking for a replacement due to wet traction issues. I don't know if the compound changed over the years, but lately I've found them to be scary in the rain. I've done crits recently (in the rain) where I swear I was sideways in every corner.

In the dry they rail.

Strengths:
Very fast, durable, and economical.

Weaknesses:
Wet grip. These tires are not for wet crits. Not the straightest tire when mounted. The Competition is a lot better.

Similar Products Used:
Vit. cx, cont. comp.

Price Paid:  $52.00 at Bike Nashbar

Favorite Ride:
65 mile training ride wih club

Bike Setup:
Fetish Penna, Mavic GL 330 tubular rims.

Summary:
Great tire! I cannot recommend them enough. They hold air very well, has very low rolling resistance, and corner like a GP Superbike! I have never flattened with these tires. I also have used the Sprinter 250 which is why I got these tires. Absolutely the best bang for the buck!

Strengths:
Low rolling resistance, excellent cornering, mounts on rim very straight, no lumps, light, holds air well, great value.

Weaknesses:
None that I can think of.

Favorite Ride:
Giant TCR Composite

Bike Setup:
Giant TCR Composite
Sram Force Groupo w/ Rival Crank
American Classic 58mm Carbon Tubulars
Look Carbon Cro-Mo Keo Pedals

Summary:
These tires are awful! I am already on my fourth/fifth tire this season due to flats and such, and this weekend did it for me. Going around a turn the tire separated from the cloth gluing surface on the tire causing me to crash and cause a huge pile-up in the crit (I was sitting third). I shattered my rear American Classic 58 in the process. I will never use Continental tires again!

Strengths:
Cheap, decent rolling resistance

Weaknesses:
Cheaply made!!!

Similar Products Used:
Continental Competitions (flat easily)
