200 psi, high performance, good feel, great durability.

I can't find any. The bad news is Vittoria has discontinued production of the KX.

Of the many tubular tires I have ridden, the KX is the most durable, yet still "high performance." They last much longer for me than the Corsa Evo CX I used previously.

Nice ride however i lost it on an s turn i have been down a thousand times without incident. Maybe it was me, i was pushing it that day. Then today while cleaning my bike i discovered the sidewall has failed. Now trying to find a replacement is a problem. Moving on to something else.

I will try to be fair and impartial in my review with this tire. Its a fast tire alright because of the High 290TPI and probably the thread pattern. The latex tube doesnt bother me at all since its more porous than Butyl. Pumping it everyday was not a bother. However, I punctured the tire only after 80 kms. of riding and apparently it was a big puncture. I did not see any physical damage on the external side. Tried to claim warranty with the LBS but they claim it was the spoke holes on my rim that damaged the cotton rim tape. The rim was also sold to me by the same LBS. Anyway, I had to get new tubs and the best part it was a Vittoria Corse CX. This ones with the Butyl tube. At least i don't need to pump it up everyday.

I picked up a pair when I'd gone in for a pair of S-Works Mondo clinchers. This was both because the pseudo-LBS 'pro' waxed poetic about how strong and durable these were without compromising ride, "they are FAAAAAaasst tires I love them." But, more importantly, because the only Specialized dealer in town wasn't specific on how long I'd have to wait if I ordered what I wanted.

The good: they are fast tires I do like their ride and road feel, plus they have been very puncture resistant considering some of the unexpected things I have been unable to avoid where I ride.

I have been caught out in the rain on them and ‘enjoyed’ a very long hilly ride home on sloppy, oil stained pavement. They held up remarkably well and I had no loss of confidence going into corners concerning grip.

Now the negatives: considering I was sold on their reliability and durability they just don’t meet the hype.

While they corner excellent I don't feel better grip than their own or other lesser priced tires and despite the puncture resistance they definitely wear easy considering how short a time I have had them.

I have put approximately 600 kms on them and the rear shows considerable wear and pitting. I know the rear tire takes more of a beating but such apparent and consistent all the way around breakdown means I’ll be looking elsewhere when it: goes out of shape or starts bubbling (crosses fingers and taps on wood to prevent sidewall failure :).

With mounting them roadside (pinch flats they happen), maybe I’m less experienced than other reviewers, but I found that a real chore. Normally I don’t need tire tools to get wheels off but with these it’s a real advantage and remounting them took more attempts than I wanted.

In the same region I am riding these on, I have put cheaper Vittorias and Specialized tires to death by old age with none of this similar erosion and signs of breakdown so early. Next time I go for a pair of S-works I’m not getting talked out of them, but given the smoke and mirrors talk from T & L and the fact that I have found them $25 cheaper elsewhere in Ottawa I guess that will be an online order.

Good grip, consistant feel, easy to mount, supple, light. goog quality. low rolling resistance. I patched up those that could be patched (in the sad event of a flat under 500km of usage) and realised the internals are excellent.

I would like to have stronger puncture protection and a more durable inner tube, with the same weight and better performance. They supposed to take 220psi but after 1500km use, I've experienced a blowout when pumping them up around 150psi.

I use these tyres, all made in Thailand these days. Was looking for a solution to the slipping rear wheel, when powerup in the turns on wet days. I think the thread pattern on the outer sides does the job. According to Vittoria, the tyre casing doesn't have to flex as much to achieve the greater contact surface, therefore giving it a little bit more grip. The outer thread pattern gives better grip in wet and rough uneven tarmac surfaces. The EVO CX is good, but I really think the EVO KX does a great job in the rain and on rough roads while turning and pedaling hard. Service life of these tyres again for me would be 1500km. I ride them on hot days, on rainy days on all kinds of roads and through some dirt trails occasionally. Use them for races or serious training only because they're not your commuting or general training tyre.

Nice rolling tire, good side grip for cornering. I wanted a long wearing tire for all my training/racing rides and living in CA where you get regular broken bottles on the road side (from the local mulleted intellignetsia no doubt), i wanted something with a little puncture protection. This tire did a pretty good job.
