at ebay Favorite Ride: Chicago/kimball to downtown Bike Setup: Fetish cycles Attack
deda pista handlebars, Fetish stem, Fetish carbon fork, Fetish headset, Andel 46t crankset, shimano bb, Fetish aero carbon seatpost, BEV tech. Carbon/Titanium seatpost, shimano dura-ace 15t cog and lockring Summary: When I first pulled the wheel out of the box I thought man this is pretty heavy for a wheel. I started to do my usual 25 mile run through the lakefront to downtown and noticed that I got from the beginning of the trail to downtown in about 10 mins faster then when I ride with my mavics. Great stuff! Saving up for the front to see how much more speed I can get. Strengths: Never need to be trued, look great, very great performance for the price, and hey, they are carbon! What more can you ask for? Weaknesses: A little heavy, but for the performance they dish out, who cares Similar Products Used: Mavic CXP22, Mavic Ellipse, Alexrims DC19, Weinnman DC18

at The Freewheel Favorite Ride: the alpine loop Bike Setup: *05 Pista rattle canned army green with stock crome fork
*rear Aerospoke
*no frills front hub laced to a black Velocity Fusion
*ODI lock on grips
*black no name riser bar
*San Marco Regal seat
*Sugino cranks
*platform pedals
*Specialized Armadillos (23 front, 25 rear) Summary: I just purchased this wheel (rear) yesterday and I already feel a difference. Its more responsive, it feels like my bike wants to just get up and go now. I dont get as much road vibration, which is nice because I ride with a track seat. This wheel is worth the money for sure. Strengths: Solid, responsive, quiet, smooth. Weaknesses: little heavy, but its on my comuter bike so it doesnt really matter Similar Products Used: none

Price Paid:

at ebay Favorite Ride: London to Paris Bike Setup: Softride, Ultegra, Tri setup Summary: Worst wheels Ive ever had!! Very, very heavy and slow. I paid about 1/2 as much for a set of shimano wheels that were much lighter and faster. I contacted the manufacturer's website and asked if there was any maint' that I could perform to make them faster, I received no response. The fact that they are heavy, slow, and no suppport...they are way over priced for what they are. Im sorry I purchased them!!! Strengths: Strong wheels, probably indestructable?? Weaknesses: Heavy, heavy, heavy and more heavy. Slow, slow Slow!!! Similar Products Used: Zipps, Shimano Ultegra

at eBay Favorite Ride: Anthem-Airpark-Anthem (63 miles) Bike Setup: 2007 Motobecane Nemesis -- stock except for the following:
Handlebar: Profile T2 Wing
Aero Bar: Profile T2+
Brake Levers: Profile QS2
Saddle: Forte T1 Tri
Wheels (in addition to the stock Xero Xr1): Aerospoke
Otherwise, Shimano Ultegra derailleurs, Dura Ace shifters, TruVativ Rouleur crankset, Tektro Quarts brakes Summary: Anyone who is concerned about the weight of these wheels, let me put those worries to rest once and for all. Like any of you reading these reviews, I was taken aback by the fact that these wheels weighed 1242 grams WITHOUT THE HUBS. Nonetheless, being that I am: 1. 275 lbs., 2. on a very limited budget, and 3. a time trial and a track rider, it just made sense for me to purchase these wheels. When I picked them up for the first time, they were slightly heavier than my cyclocross wheels, but they did not feel like circular bricks. So I went and put the cassette, tires and skewers on the wheels, and I rode my bike to work (I drive to a park and ride and bike in the last 14 miles on pan-flat roads). On my way back, I timed myself. Two days earlier, riding with the stock 16/20 spoked wheels, I set a personal best of 42:38. This morning, riding the same exact course, I did it in 38 MINUTES FLAT! That's right -- I beat my two-day-old personal best by 4:38! Thanks to these wheels, I was able to push a bigger gear, and that in turn made me go a lot faster! In addition, with the quick change hubs, you can easily convert these wheels from road to track. Anyone who matches my characteristics -- a broke clydesdale who rides road and track -- needs these wheels! Strengths: They're durable, they're fast, and they're cool looking -- especially when you look at them spinning in the shadows! Weaknesses: If weight is an issue with you, and you're half my size and earn three times my income, you can get by with the lighter HED3 wheels. Similar Products Used: Just your regular, run-of-the mill spoked wheels
