Strengths: Lightweight. Strong. Durable.Weaknesses: All of the following weaknesses are from the DT parts, although only cosmetic and do not compromise the wheel's structural integrity and performance. The painted spokes begin to lose paint. Spokes should be natural finish or anodized, not painted. The cassette body is kind of soft and allow the cassettes to dig into the shallow splines. Although this deformation does not affect performance, it is rather troublesome when removing the cassettes. My only concern with the rim, although no incident has occurred, is that the bead hook seems rather shallow. I would feel more secure with a deeper bead hook to prevent high-pressure tires from blowing off the rim.Bottom Line: At first, I didn't think much of them, being a Trek brand. I only bought them because they were the lightest carbon clinchers and they used DT hubs. These turned out to be the best wheels I've ever owned. They've been raced and are currently my commuters and weekend wheels. After all the years (5+) and miles (thousands), they are still true as new and have never been re-trued. You can't even see the lateral runout. The high-tension spoke design works very well. The carbon rims show no sign of wear. The Bontrager Ti quick release are also the best I've used. Very stylish and practical air-foil design.
Favorite Ride: Any route with good riders and few cars.

Strengths: Fast and light, and with the red spokes, the wheels look great.Weaknesses: Expensive and I worry about road hazards.Bottom Line: I replaced the Bontrager Race Lite set that was stock on my Madone SL 5.2. I wanted better wheels first, and these wheels make a difference. Speed at all facets of riding increased, especially acceleration and climbing. The bike sails easily on level road. I got the wheelset on sale and purchased the Bontrager set instead of Mavic ES.

Bike Setup: Trek Madone SL 5.2 with Ultegra drivetrain. I upgraded the race lite handlebars to Race X Lite for carbon bars. The wheels, frame and bars make for a fast and smooth ride, with efficient power transfer.
