Strengths: Looks. Somewhat aero I guess. That's about it.Weaknesses: Heavy, not durable, pricy, accelerate as you would expect a 1900+ gram wheelset to accelerate. These aren't everyday wheels.Bottom Line: This review is for the Aros 58 shimano clincher. I'm not sure who Cane Creek was targeting with these wheels. At over 1900 grams, they aren't the lightest. At $1500, they aren't the cheapest. There are far better values out there. Apparently these are basically non-dimpled Zipp 404 rims laced to Cane Creek hubs. After about 350 miles, the rear bearing preload needed adjustment. After about 500 miles, two or three spokes on the rear wheel started to pull through the carbon rim. Thankfully Cane Creek's amazing customer service took care of it free of charge. Not sure if this was a defect in the original rim or not. At this price, you'd be much better off going with a set of Mavic Cosmic Carbones (I've ridden both). Demand was pretty high when I sold these, so apparently other people see something that I don't? Regardless, CC doesn't make these anymore. These get a 2 out of 5, but just for the great customer service experience.
