The celebrated CORIMA DISC wheel can be used for road racing, time trial or track. The monocoque wheel is not only light but also stiff enough to give fast acceleration on the track with ultimate speed for time trials. The Disc is only 20 mm wide, both sides being parallel with the minimum frontal area enabling the CORIMA DISC to cut through the air. The rigidity of the rim's edge is made possible thanks to a torsion box construction on the tubular version (CORIMA patent). There are two models: the CN and C+. There is one carbon fibre layer on structural foam for the CN model and two layers for the C+ model. The CN model is recommended for time trials, road races and for the triathlon. The C+ model is specially constructed for track or tandem use being approximately 20% more rigid than the CN model. From Time Trials to Track the CORIMA DISC takes some beating.
