Description The EA90 SL takes the best attributes of the EA90 SLX and adds a few more spokes to give increased lateral stiffness for the bigger, stronger rider. At only 60 grams more, the EA90 SL is a formidable ...
Bike Setup: Lugged steel Pinarello with Chorus 9 speed
Summary: This is my second set of Easton Wheels and I'm a fan now. They are stiff, smooth, quiet and very well built. I'm a ~180lb rider on a steel frame and they are stiff enough to make my bike feel nice and snappy. I don't sense any flex when I hammer or climb. They spin up fast and are buttery smooth.
The ride quality is suburb and was an upgrade for me over my Record/Open Pro wheels.
I had a set of Circuits on this bike briefly and went to the EA90s because I thought the Circuits were a bit heavy. Heavier, I suspect, than advertised. Honestly, I'm not sure how much difference I can tell in the saddle. Both are very good wheels.
They run almost silent. The rims have a nice milled surface on them that the brakes grab nice and tight and they are true right out of the box and after a few long rides with lots of climbing and rough roads.
Velomax/Easton makes a great wheel and is priced very agressively compared to others of similar quality.
Strengths: Stiff, quiet, true, well built, great ride quality, more buttery than a pound of fois gras
Weaknesses: Easton's descrepancy between advertized and actual weight is well documented and disappointing. I didn't put these on a gram scale, but consumer confidence is everything with this type of a purchase and they need to address that issue. That being said, I love these wheels and they will likely be the last set on this bike
Summary: I got these wheels for my "super bike". I'm 200 lb rider who hasn't had too many problems with the wheels that I have had, but didn't want to waste money on super lite wheels if the were going to always need to be trued. I set my sites on 1500 g wheels with a little higher spoke count. After reading a ton and trying a few I decided on these and found a good deal on ebay.
My "super bike" frame has not been purchased yet due to my indecisiveness, so these wheels were sitting in my closet for 3 months. Before my ride yesterday I threw these on my Colnago Master and noticed a instant difference from my 07 Campagnolo Scirocco. These things made my old steel bike feel snappy. I sold my Orbea Lobular and have been slugging around on my Colnago, but with these wheels I feel no diference between the two on long hills, and they seem to have not change the ride quality of the old steel frame. They also corner with confidence.
I have only ridden one 30 mile ride on them, but I'm super happy so far. I will report back when I have more miles on them.
Strengths: Good ride quality, good cornering, snappy feel on a steal bike.
Weaknesses: none yet.

Bike Setup: Klein Q-Pro aluminum-carbon; Dura Ace derailleurs, brakes, shifters; Ritchey WCS carbon stem and bars; Fizik Arione saddle.
Summary: I got these wheels on chainlove.com when they were still offering road gear for $400. I have them on an aluminum Klein (with carbon fork and stays). I've been very impressed: they've stayed true, give a nice ride, and roll like heck. I know they have adjustable preload, but I haven't had to adjust them yet.
I'm sure this is subjective but I do feel that the aero spokes and semi-deep rims provide more speed for effort.
Strengths: Reliable
Relatively light
Roll like crazy (I'm outdistancing a friend on downhills when he always rolled ahead of me when I had my old wheels)
Weaknesses: None come to mind.

Summary: I've ridden these wheels for a few months now. Excellent ride quality and dependable performance. They're not over the top wheels, but they're what I believe are a nearly perfect balance of weight, durability and performance.
Strengths: Reasonably lightweight, mine were 1542gms
Super smooth, great rolling hubs
Great durability
Weaknesses: Not super light
