Description The EA70 is the next generation of Easton’s most popular wheel set, the Circuit, and is the new standard for bang-for-the-buck performance! The EA70 is the clear-cut choice for racers and enthusiasts ...
Bike Setup: Scattante XRL Comp, Ultegra 6500 Gruppo,
Summary: Great product for the money. BIG upgrade, I was riding Mavic MA3s until I got these. I have only been on a single 43 mile ride so far but performance is good. It is kinda hard to tell just how good they are, I have been doing a LOT of running lately, and biking feels harder than it should be for me. I weigh 220lbs, and they help up nicely and there were some big nasty bumps on one of the bike trails.
Strengths: Affordable, with good technology.
Weaknesses: hard to tell, compared to the MA3s none. That is not saying anything at all though.

Bike Setup: Azzurri carbon monocoque frame with dura ace 7800 groupset, FSA OS handlebars and OS 150 stem, Specalized Pave seat post and Fizik Arione saddle.
Summary: A great pair of wheels that I bought as a substitute while I rebuilt my Ritchey Protocols (the rear rim cracked). I haven't taken them off the bike since and the Protocols have been used on my TT/Tri bike as a training wheel. Can't beat the value on these wheels.
Strengths: Strong, stiff and light. If you like to do your own wrenching these wheels are superb to work on. It is easy to get to the bearings and grease them if need be. These wheels are quite fast even with round spokes, I'd say they faster than my Ultegra bladed spoke wheelset. They've stayed true the whole time and I haven't had to touch them.
Weaknesses: The rear hub was a little dry and needed some extra lube. I also found the braking surface is quite narrow and you have to have your brake pads set precisely otherwise they can catch the stickers which are right on the edge of the braking surface.
Similar Products Used: Ritchey Protocols, Ultegra and Ksyrium Elite, Velocity Razor/DA hubs.

Summary: I bought these wheels to replace the Shimano R500 wheelset that came on my bike. I destroyed the R500's after 3000km's so I decided I needed something stronger. The EA70's fit the bill nicely, they have a few more spokes, they're lighter and have a decent 27mm rim depth. I couldn't believe the difference these made to my ride, I thought my frame was a bit flexy, turns out it was my old wheels. These wheels are great under power, the bike just flies forward in a sprint. They have increased my cornering confidence and seem to brake better too. I weigh a bit over 100kg and like to ride aggresively, these wheels are up to the task!
Strengths: Incredibly stiff. They make me corner and accelerate harder than I thought I could. They look great too.
Weaknesses: None. Or maybe they make me want a better frame to fully test their limits?

Bike Setup: felt f90 with SRAM force and easton ea70 wheels and ea70 fork
Summary: Just a foreword...i didnt pay 1441 for the wheelset alone. It came with a build kit i got from colorado cyclist and it came with the wheelset and SRAM force gruppo.
Overall these wheels have been great for me all summer. I have put in around 1000 miles on them and they have held up magnificently. The conering on them is amazing and they roll really well downhills. My set has taken some abuse this summer while commuting i.e. potholes and construction with no bends cracks or breaks. Also they cut through the wind very nicely and i have experienced some bad winds while riding at school is mississippi. The are very quick when you get up in a sprint and dont weigh you down too much when climbing hills. I love this wheelset and i will probably upgrade to the easton ea90slx if my ea70s ever bite the dust but so far its looking like it will take an act of god to break them. Overally a great wheel for an affordable price from a trusted company such as easton.
Strengths: Great conering and acceleration.
Weaknesses: the only think i can think of is its tough to get road grime off the easton stickers on the wheel.
Similar Products Used: nuevation wheels but better because nuevations aerospokes catch too much wind.
