Price Paid:  $300.00 at Chainreaction cycles

    Favorite Ride:

    Bike Setup:
    Specialized Tarmac Pro
    Record 2006

    Summary:
These are perfect training wheels. They roll smoothly and true out of the box. Weight is not crazy heavy, 1800+g. There is some drag on the freewheel when coasting but hopefully that eases in time.
The only real caveat is mounting tires. It took some work to get my tires to mount round, the bead would not set until I used some baby powder to mount the tubes. Maybe the wide rim bed has something to do with it?

    Strengths:
    Smooth bearings
    Solid build
    Awesome value

    Weaknesses:
    11T shimano lockring incompatible
    Sketchy tire mounting (tube)
Rim is not machined (mildly irritating, you feel the bump)

    Price Paid:  $0.00 at PBK

    Favorite Ride:
    Coffee Run

    Bike Setup:
Commuter - Cecil Walker Custom Reynolds 853 frame, 2001 Shimano 105, Profile CF fork, ITM Bars, Cinelli Stem.
Racer - Guerciotti Cartesio, Campy Eurus, Conti GP400 tyres, Camp Chorus 07.

    Summary:
Use these wheels on my commuter. They roll nicely - they make a bit of noise on the free-wheel but I think this is just a Campy / Fulcrum thing - the Campy wheels on my racing bike make the same noise.

    Strengths:
    Reasonably light
    Strong.
    Roll well.

    Weaknesses:
Have real trouble getting the tyres off and on when I get a puncture. It's a minor quibble and I only discovered it when I got my first flat last week. Snapped my plastic levers trying to remove the tyre. Bought some metal ones specifically for my commuter now. Not sure if this is as a result of design changes for the "two-way fit".

    Price Paid:  $165.00

    Bike Setup:
    Specialized Allez

    Summary:
Good set of wheels. I bought them in order to equip my bike for the Marmotte of 2009 and they will stay there! They will surely get me over the steepest hills.

I'm a light rider (64 kilos) and these weels offer me assurance and a safe, steady feeling. In combination with Continental GP 4000 I feel the king of the road.

The quality you get for that price is almost unbelievable. They are smooth, fast - rolling and more aero than they look.

    Strengths:
The price / quality (what a combination!)
    The strenght
The looks (the surely don't look cheap)
    Fast - rolling

    Weaknesses:
A lot of sound (but this is not really a weakness)

    Favorite Ride:
    Appley Rd loop

    Bike Setup:
    Shimano Ultegra Groupset,

    Summary:
I've been using these wheels for around 3 months now and i'm quite immpressed. They are quite lighter than the older fulcrum 5's. They are quite and roll well. And average weight too but you really notice that much. The next test really is how long do the last for?, but for now they are "sweet as".

    Strengths:
Fast, Roll really good, Look awesome. Not too heavy

    Weaknesses:
None really, but the freewheel is rather loud when coasting.
