Price Paid:  $850.00 at Dealer

Favorite Ride:
Alpine Loop in Utah

Bike Setup:
Giant TCR full carbon, Full DA

Summary:
These have been good wheels for flat fast rides.
I notice them being a little faster than my Ksyrium SL's in the A-group hammer fest.
They are aluminum with a carbon fairing.
I like them for riding in the midwest, but leave them home when I ride in the rockies.

Strengths:
Spin easy, slippery at 20+ mph.
Look great on my Giant TCR that has a matching clear coat finish with blue and grey lettering.

Weaknesses:
Not really stiff. I get a bit of brake rub when I hammer hard. Not the lightest climbers in the world.
I found them to be pretty unstable on fast descents with gusty cross winds.

Price Paid:  $700.00 at Ebay new

Favorite Ride:
3 to 4 days after a really hard ride

Bike Setup:
Schneider custom steel with Campy Chorus

Summary:
I wanted an aero clincher rim that was reasonably light that did not require special brake pads. The jet 50 met these requirements well.

Strengths:
does everthing well and not effected by cross winds.

Weaknesses:
You have to be very careful not to ding the carbon faring when handling the wheel. Not a problem as long as you are aware of this.

Similar Products Used:
No other deep rim aero wheels. Open pro, Rolf Vigor and Rolf Aero Alan

Price Paid:  $1190.00 at Exclusive Cycles in

Favorite Ride:
Anywhere in Western Dane County

Bike Setup:
Giant TCR Composite 1, SRAM Rival/Force gruppo, Ritchey WCS carbon streem, WCS alloy post, Shimano SPD SL pedals, FSA stem, Polar Computer

Summary:
Excellent set of race wheels (that I use everyday). They are light, stiff, look great and are comfortable. I am running a 50mm in the front, and 60mm in the rear. Despite their depth, they seem less effected by crosswinds than any of the standard depth rims I have ridden.

It should be noted that the carbon is simply a fairing rather than a structural carbon rim. This is not a drawback in my opinions, as the rim is a durable aluminum one and you needn't worry about riding over potholes, expansion joints and railroad crossings, as well as the fact that a clincher is much easier to change out than a tubular when away from your garage.

I ride these daily on roads far from perfect and I love them: they spin up, accelerate well, and sound cool :)
With the reduced aero drag vs my Mavics, I am able to average around 1.5mph faster on one of my favorite 40 mile routes (in similar wind conditions).

Purchased from Exclusive Cycles in Verona, WI (608-845-9111). The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and let me ride several sets of wheels (even their own personal wheels) before ordering these (and I got to pick the color decals that match my bike WITHOUT paying full retail as well as Hed Cycling's ridiculous $40 fee for different colors).

I highly recommend the product and its retailer-if you are in the area, I suggest a visit to their club-like show room!

Strengths:
Aero, stiff, durable, quiet, easy maintainance, handles well in cross winds

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
Mavic Cosmos, Fulcrum Racing 1, Shimano Dura Ace SL 7801, Cane Creek Volos and Volos XL
